  1. If you listen and cooperate with police officers. This will never happen. Listen and cooperate. We learn it early in school. A lot of these people donโ€™t go to school or decide to skip and they learn 0 respect. Why should a police officer respect you if youโ€™re not respecting their orders as police officersโ€ฆ.

  2. They were both smoking weed in public and resisting arrest. If you commit a crime you get arrested this isnt a race thing this is an obey the law thing. There are healthier ways to relieve stress than "smoking weed" anyway like cardio therapy/ going for a run at the end of the day.

  3. Certain segments of the population have a tendency to make a mountain of a mole hill. Small amounts of marijuana are not a criminal offenses in NC. It's just a citation, like a speeding ticket. Now she's in much bigger trouble for resisting and assaulting a police officer. Those are criminal offenses.

  6. This is what happens when you put your ego before the law. Both sides are guilty of that. It's one thing to be dumb enough to get high in broad daylight & hit an officer, but for several "professional" officers to be dumb enough to allow these stoners a day in court to sue the department for perhaps MILLIONS is upsetting ! This arrest will be lawfully viewed as excessive force & unfortunately, taxpayers will be paying for this ego trip on the officer's end. These potheads may have required a forceful arrest, but this was a beating ! Now they have a chance to get rich ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

  7. Based on this video, her actions would have to be significantly more than just striking a law enforcement officer to rise to this level of "use of force". Based off of Law Enforcement statements, nothing they have said rises to this level of brutality.
This is already sounding like a unlawful "fruit of the poisonous tree" detention that escalated to unlawful use of force. Now Law Enforcement are going to attempt to CYA.
Can't wait to see all of the Body cams. Hope they are not edited or muted. Hope both of them get good lawyers.
There's no situation that can't be made worse by calling the cops!

  8. "Reviewing to make sure that all rules were followed". So there is an exemption to punch handcuffed women somewhere in the rule book, and they want to be sure that the officer was within guidelines??

  9. A lot of judgment is being voiced about the right/wrong actions taken by the suspect/police. At this point, the only video I have seen is a pile of officers with one officer throwing punches…hard ones, at an unseen suspect. If there is a video showing the suspect resisting and assaulting an officer, as well as a video that shows where the woman was being punched (head or back) while handcuffed, please enlighten me.

  11. Police Chief………. if a citizen strikes my deputy we arrest instantly !!!!!!! if my deputy punches black woman 50 times in face thats a diferent story…..ITS DISTURBING………CONCERNING…..NOT A CRIME YET………………. time to take a deep breathe, wait for ok by a judge to view the body cam, have an internal investigation, call in independent agency, then maybe, in a bout a year or so we can see what was so '' DISTURBING""

  12. The only time civilians record a police video and put it on the internet is when they donโ€™t get the whole thing, just the parts to make the police look bad ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ If you actually thought that the police just jumped out of their cars and flipped a coin to see who was gonna get f@cked up then your part of the problem to๐Ÿ˜‚

  13. A judge does not ever have to sign off on police body cam video. The journalist should be a better journalist and dig a little instead of just taking their word for it. Is she new?

  14. Hmmm ๐Ÿค” I wonder if the races were swapped between the black woman and the white cop would this even be a story? Also would this even be a story if the black woman was being arrested in the same manner but the police officer was black as well? Not saying police officers are perfect but take notice of the situations the media want us to care about most.
