  1. Something is wrong when two grandchildren die under her care. Definitely further investigation should be done. Either way, no child is safe under this woman’s care. I am so sad for her daughter that has lost 2 kids while under her mother’s care.
Now the world knows that this grandmother should never be trusted with the care of any child.
Shame on the family if she had signs of some sort of dementia and they didn’t do anything.
This whole thing makes me sick.

  2. How the hell do you leave a child in a "hot car"? I don't care if it's a grandma, mother, dad, babysitter, friend, etc. It is a damn excuse! I'm glad she was found guilty. Poor parents! I'm grieving for them because I have grown kids, and we were in the cat a lot, had neighbors kids in my car whether it be spring, summer, fall, winter and never once did I forget there were kids in the car. It's a poor excuse to not remember there is a child in the car when you put them in there in the first place! I hope she rots in jail. But guess what…..KARMA is a B….! She will get hers!

  4. This is so hard for the parents of this baby. The defendant I really think should have been examined for memory problems as well. Likely I think she may be undiagnosed. 😢😢😢

  5. I mean yeah this is basic negligence I don't care if she's the sweet old grandma she looks 50-60 yearish old. She's an adult woman caring for a kid, and is negligent as all hell. "Forgetful" issues, no. You're negligent as a caretaker. No grandma would forget their grandkid. In the car

Better have Alzheimer's or something otherwise welp

  7. All these people always sleeping when they have toddlers..having these naps..when they are not that elderly either..unfortunately the daughter is still attached to her mother..this would effect the verdict..the babies need to come first..

  8. I can't believe the jury found Her not guilty. I'm a grandma and I never forgot my grandchildren in my car or forgot about them. I feel so sad for her daughter. Plus this is her second time a child of hers has died in her mother's care. I sure hope she gets more time.

  9. I hate this for the family 🙏. This woman should never watch another child alone. I don’t believe she intentionally did this twice, but she is obviously not capable of making sure they are safe. I hope this family finds forgiveness!!

  10. It is sad overall that the Nix?family have all been affected as a result of the lack of responsibilty that's the mother of both of her children dad under the care of Tracy Nix. Even though, Tracy Nix did not mean for her grandchildren to die while in her care, but still the grandchildren did die as a result of her lack of responsibilities responsibilities, that she was negligent, and the end result this young babe died as a result of the 15 minutes that he was left in her car. 18 months earlier, Tracy Nix had been taken care of the first born child that that child died also this family has been torn apart, because of Tracy Nix irresponsibility at that time. Because of Tracy Nix and her irresponsabilty, she should have been found guilty of manslaughter, rather than found guilty of leaving her grandchild in a car over 15 minutes. Maybe she did not mean to leave her grandchild in her car, but she did, and what is sad that it was her daughter's child who died under her mother's care. This family has forever been fractured, because of the lack of irresponsibility. Even though, and maybe down that road that the mother of the babe may be able to forgive her mother, but the trust has been shattered forever a parrot does not simply heal from their child's death, and especially that this young woman's mother had taking care of this woman's first child, and that child died as well well under the care of the grandmother. Haven't been found guilty of leaving her grandchild in a car for over 15 minutes, the most that she can be sentenced to is between 5 and 8 years for a serious crime that her grandchild died while in her care call Mom she should have been found guilty of first-degree manslaughter. These young babes are forever gone, and her daughter and son-in-law will forever grieve the death of both of their children. It will be a long stretch before Tracy's daughter and son-in-law will be able to even have a relationship with Tracy, but the trust is completely forever broken. It is a tragedy for this entire family. There was no excuses for Tracy's irresponsibility that she simply neglected and ignored that her grandchild was in her car for a long period of time, and then extreme hot weather. Regardless that the jury only found her guilty play of leaving her grandchild in her car for 15 minutes play, but it will continue that her daughter and sister-in-law will not want to assume a close relationship with this grandmother. If they decide to resume a relationship with Tracy, Tracy's daughter and son-in-law will control the reconciliation of any kind of relationship. Apparent does not simply heal from the death of their children. Parents have it harder to heal from their children's deaths, then that of children whom have lost a parent or parents… this grandmother is probably in her mid 70s, and her life is fractured now..

  11. We have to start allowing evidence in if it pertains to the case. If you're a juror on a DUI case, prior DUIs need to be allowed into evidence during trial. The same goes for this case. Her prior history should have been allowed for the jury to hear. They're going to be ticked off when they find out another child died 11 months prior on Grandma's watch.

  12. The mother should be charged as well, IMO. By her own statements, grandma is responsible for the death of her son. And, this woman found it acceptable to leave her daughter with grandma after that? They should both be sitting in jail, IMO!

  13. There is something deeply troubling about this family. Either they are hiding something tragic and/or this grandmother may have dementia ? What were the dynamics of this family, particularly between the grandmother and her daughter ?
