  1. I have alot of venus fly traps if half the bug is sticking out it get indigestion and the leaf will die and It can kill one of it pollinators its a plant it does not know what its eating

  2. there are Carnivours plant nurseries that specialize in growing really nice fly traps. If you were going to do a video on t hem you should have gotten some plants from one of them instead of these sad poor pathetic home depot big box store abominations.

  3. How is it that they don't trap their pollinators? How can they tell what's standing in the trap? Or is it that they just don't lure them in?

  4. this video somehow forgot to add HOW they avoid killing their pollinators:

    they grow flowers on REEEEALLY long stalks above the traps so the pollinators don’t actually fly too close to the traps.

  5. For those asking, Venus Flower Traps cannot distinguish between prey and pollinators on their traps.

    Rather, the Venus Fly Trap has flowers, and those flowers are on long, tall stems that stand far above the traps, minimizing risks to the pollinators. 🎉
