  1. >"I want to see if the cockpit stays attached during lift-off."
Seriously? Wow, this guy is definitely NASA material XD

    >5:09 "I will just explode someday"
Actually it takes an awful lot of banging around to seriously damage the ship. So if you're not going full velocity into a wall, you're safe… mostly πŸ˜€

    >5:26 "No I'm in a tree"
Completely beating the astronauts there. They never landed in a tree πŸ˜€ But then, it's not totally fair, there's no tree on our moon so they never had a chance to try.

    >19:12 "Why am I still going down?"
That's called gravity πŸ™‚ Matching velocity won't help you there. You have to fly high (or far) enough to escape the gravity well. If you lift-off and stay vertical while going up, at one point you'll feel your ship doing a slight "jump" up, that's when you know you're out of the gravity well and won't fall back down.

    >19:18
Hey, you could try to land on the platform you left from. That would be good exercise. And it seems like potentially a lot of bouncing fun πŸ˜€

    >20:10
The reason why your landing camera is going wild and totally useless is because you didn't lock on the planet so the ship doesn't know how to orient itself for landing. You're just free-falling to the ground… which may be fun in itself πŸ˜€
When you're locked, distance to the ground and vertical velocity indicator should display on the right of the landing camera view, so you know you're going for a landing… or trying to πŸ™‚
But I'm all for bouncing Liera, so that's OK XD

    >24:15
Is it just me or there seem to be an awful lot of duct tape used in Hearthian technology? That inspires confidence πŸ˜€

    >28:06
You should get an identification if you use the signalscope while on the roof near the antenna (where you just were). That leads to a new clue.

    >35:20
Well, I am definitely impressed πŸ˜€
And it's a good lesson to remember. Suit… never leave without it haha

    >48:13
The flat round spot in front of you is actually a landing pad for your ship (you can enter via the crater above)… for the daring πŸ˜‰ That allows you to avoid all the jumping you had to do to get there.

    >52:27 "We're not going into the sun, are we?"
Sure you are. Remember Slate's words, last episode? The autopilot avoidance system will only be installed on the next ship XD

    >55:06
When I said above "if you're not going full velocity into a wall", that also includes planets, moons, or any body in space, really XD
On the bright side that was your first explosion so… yay! And also the shortest loop you ever did, so double yay! πŸ˜€ That record will be hard to break πŸ™‚

    >55:27 "This time it's a different direction"
Which should be impossible as you're in a loop. Intriguing, huh?

    >1:01:08
When you find an unidentified signal source like this beacon, you need to identify it with your signalscope (need to be close enough). If it's the first of this kind you find, the signalscope will create a new channel for you to switch to in order to locate similar signals on other planets/locations. When in space, you can use your ship own signalscope when flying around in order to see where you can find something potentially interesting, or if you want to follow a particular lead. Discovered channels are kept between loops.

    >1:03:45
Most people would try to avoid a black hole but nope, you had to fall in it, hadn't you? By accident, sure, but still πŸ˜€ It's fortunate in this case as it is story related so at least now you know πŸ™‚

    >1:09:36
The little blue diagram on the wall; The warping occurs when all the arrows are aligned.

    >1:19:00 "Did my ship get teleported as well?"
Bits of Brittle Hollow are constantly breaking and falling through the black hole, ending up at white station. When you park your ship on an unstable part of Brittle Hollow, that's bound to happen at some point.

    >1:28:25 "… probably impossible"
Well, nobody ever tried. Care to volunteer? XD Maybe that would be an astounding discovery… or maybe you'd just end up as particles dispersed across the universe. both could be fun πŸ˜€

    >1:27:25
Somewhere there are squirrels crying because their attention span is sliding down even further than previously thought possible and the level of distractions is getting overwhelmingly dangerous XD

Lucky you have a notepad πŸ™‚

Dying to see what you'll be falling through next time πŸ˜€

  2. Firstly, oh wow, I've never seen the aurora on Brittle Hollow caused by the nova (right at the end of the video)

Secondly, others have mentioned using the signalscope to discover the "unidentified signal nearby"s, but for the record the distance you need to get to is something like 15m or less from them (you were about 20m from the tower one on the ground, if you'd boosted up or used it from the roof you would have caught it)

  3. A heads up in case you go for staying in front of uploads:
To fix the bug of not being able to lock on with the controller: use the mouse to lock on once and then you should be able to lock with the controller again.
Tip shamelessly copied from another playthrough I'm currently watching.
My own backseating two tips (which I hate when others do, lol) below:

    1. Avoid doing the DLC (radio tower and satellite thingie) until you're at a point where you think you have figured everything out and know exactly what to do in order to get to the ending stage.
    2. Solving puzzles is never about doing something outrageous and insane, rather there is logic to everything that should be derived from following clues.

  4. hi: i'm an "outer wilds" lurker

I will leave a few tips to improve your experience.

technical tip: there is a bug where you can't lock on. you can solve this with one left mouse click.

gameplay tip: many players don't realize that the scout have a "photo mode" that lets you take pictures without launching the scout. (very usefull to navigate through ghost matter)

    about the DLC:

there is a debate in the outer wilds community about when it's better to play the DLC.

some people argue that it's better to find it organically, but most people think that its better to play it near the end of the main game or after finishing the main game.

The DLC is big, its related to the main game but not interconnected. IMHO it kills the momentum of the main game. I recommend to play it after finishing the main game. (the way they where released)

I will leave instruction on how to avoid the DLC with as minimal spoilers as possible in case that you choose to play it after the main game.

  5. You are really finding out the mysteries while keeping track of where you are and how you got there. I always got so twisted around I barely knew where I was before I would run out time. You are almost making this game relaxing, which is hard to do. I am enjoying your journey.

  7. an excellent thing to remember when flying is Newton's First Law: an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. Don't put the petal to the metal all the way to planet entry, otherwise you'll violently meet the planet surface
