At least 21 people including two children have died after a bus crashed off a flyover near the Italian city of Venice and burst into flames.
The bus smashed through a barrier and plunged alongside railway tracks in the district of Mestre, which is connected to Venice by bridge.
There are reports that the bus was powered by methane gas and fell onto power lines, leading to an explosion.
It’s understood the bus had been rented to take tourists between Venice and a campsite in the nearby Marghera district.
Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro said it was “an apocalyptic scene, there are no words.”

It wasn't methane and it didn't fell on railway power lines.
The bus was electric and fell on it's own batteries, that broke and caught fire.

1 question to Italian engineer ( who involved with the highway project) , how the fuck ur guard rail failed to divert the bus ??? all guard rail is design to divert the impact so things like this should never happen, and based on the CCTV footage, the bus isnt even travelling that fast, its just a normal highway speed …. sooo what the fuck Italy ??!?!?! can someone please explain ?!

The low crash barriers is not only unique to Italy. Panama city is notorious for overpasses with low barriers where trucks and buses are whizzing by each other. It's an easy infrastructure fix imo and could prevent horrible tragedies like this from happening
