Vegas Vlog: A Few Hidden Gems & Tales from the South Strip

Today I’m posting something a little different. I spent the day down on the South end of the Las Vegas Strip and shared some stories and highlights from the perspective as a Vegas resident of nearly 30 years.

  1. Thanks for opening my eyes to Vegas! I never been inclined to visit Vegas since I've always been told its just a stripmall lined avenue in the desert but I see that its very modern and hip! Would love to visit someday!

  2. I find that I enjoy more and more the simple and fun style of editing you do as well as your laid-back vibes and topics. I'm not even a Vegas fan and I just watched this all the way through lmao

  3. When you were eating at New York New York did you eat at Greensberg Deli? Its my favorite place to get a corned beef sandwich, plus I will be getting one in April during my visit.

  4. Very interesting video and to see some of the sites of Las Vegas. I love your jacket, where did you get it from? The transformer character looked like he had arthritis, the way he was walking.
Many thanks from the UK for sharing this.

  5. I wish Vegas would start doing themed hotels again. They’re fun and interesting. Also wish they’d start building more attraction in the strip like the fountains at bellagio. Now they just build fancy boring hotels.

  6. Please review the Hydro Jet Power Washing hose thingy from Amazon, its supposed to turn your hose into a power washer but has no electricity connection 😅 I need to know whether it's worth buying to use to clean my car 🤩

  7. One new thing that you can now go to in Las Vegas is Battlebots Destructathon. Although the Battlebots TV show is only filmed two weeks out of the year, Destructathon is a year round live event. It features stock versions of some of the most popular bots on the show, but most importantly it is going to serve as a testing ground for potential and veteran Battlebots World Championship competitors. The real Hydra was spotted at the event competing on one of the days.

  8. Didn't James start off this video saying he was showing "hidden gems" and not tourist spots? And then he proceeds to go to the Luxor, NYNY, MGM Grand, and the Coke Store. 🤣

  9. Thought you would show the Burger Bar when you were in the shops between Mandalay Bay and Luxor. When I went to Vegas, I would eat there at least twice. Possibly the best burgers in Vegas. Sounds like Vegas tourism is recovering, but it isn't bringing me back for a while. Like you said, pay alot for parking. I golf in Vegas and it is more expensive than it used to be.

  11. 1. you're allowed to enter the building and window-shop without having reserved a room at those hotels?
    2. do Vegas residents care that the famous touristy s**t is not in actual Las Vegas but in Henderson/Paradise/Clark county etc?

  12. Vegas is one of my favorite places on earth. Some of my very first memories are there (running around Circus Circus), I've been there WAY more times than I could ever possibly count, I got married there (walked through the drive thru! That broke Corporal of Marines lyfe…hahaha) and the wife and I go there at least a couple times a year. It sure has changed over the years…and not necessarily for the better.
