Episode Description
One of the many new projects announced and under construction for Las #Vegas has officially been put on hold. Owners of the Dream Hotel on the South #Strip have paused construction as they struggle to find financing for the $500M+ project. Contractors are owed up to $30 million, meaning this project could be done for good.
In other #news we learned of the strange expansion plans for Vegas Loop which include a GIANT omission. What are they thinking? We also discuss MGM’s new freeplay tech, the official approval of Hard Rock’s guitar tower, the new Punk Rock Museum and a zipline rescue on Fremont Street.

The monorail was originally supposed to run to the airport when it was built. The taxi drivers union got that shut down is what I've always heard. This sounds very familiar with the loop not running there as well.
This is a continuation of my comment on your last episode where I said that Resorts World is lying about their occupancy rates. How do they have that many rooms available to house and entire basketball team during one of the busiest weeks in Vegas ever? It doesn’t make sense. Hilton investors beware!
You think it's a good idea in one fell swoop to cost thousands of taxi drivers and Uber drivers and Lyft drivers a huge portion of their income just to make convenience for the airports?… Think of the millions of dollars that get circulated and the economy by people who work taking people back and forth shuttles everything taxis Uber is you name it you just want to get rid of that?… Of course they're not going to do that
I hope they do something with the statues of Siegfried & Roy and any of the lions.
I have not stayed at Luxor and don't plan to anytime soon, but I just got back from 5 days at Aria and I must say my room was immaculate. I saw some of the housekeepers cleaning rooms and they were extremely thorough. I think the pandemic days of sloppy housekeeping are past us now, at least at the high end properties in Vegas.
Anyone suffering from claustrophobia would possibly freak out going through any one of those tunnels for so long! I would. With no visibility of sky. No way would I take that in a car. If it’s a short distance then maybe.
The Dream hotel looks like a horrible location. So near the airport! How about having to hear all that noise of airplanes landing and taking off all day/night! Crazy.
At this point the only way the monorail gets extended to say Fremont Street or Reid Airport or Mandalay Bay is if the big casino giants get together and buy it as a joint venture. LVCVA is too focused on other things. And the volcano doesn't generate revenue. The guitar hotel will. Plus it will likely have a light show like its Florida counterpart.
Great video guys! Keep up the great work!
If they build a big YouTube museum…….
…….will the sexy outfits of the MTM boys be framed and mounted on a wall???
hey Mark I bet on the Izzo's! Alas…… we went down. – ed in Reno
I was really excited about the Dream hotel, i was impressed at how they weren't wasting any time. They were working on that site. I hope they finish it. What is happening with the Majestic hotel? If the Loop isn't going to have an airport stop then they need to hang it up now, that should've been the first stop. The Hard Rocks memerabila was one of the reasons i loved staying there, it was like a museum right in your hotel. Another great update. We stayed at Luxor for the first time in November, in the newer tower and loved the room, but this is just disgusting. What a way to welcome The Sweet 16 to Vegas, Luxor should be ashamed. That HRH guitar looks like it's going to give the MSG sphere a run for their money.
That guitar tower is fugly af.
Top quality as usual what has happened to my vegas all the buffets have gone how long before it goes bust
The renovated rooms in Luxor’s pyramid are nice, except for the showers not having doors on them. Water gets thrown out onto the bathroom floor. Also, no deadbolt
Yes the drango will get built. But it will take twenty years
It's going to suck to lose the Mirage volcano…It's also going to suck for people staying at TI who book a strip view room and actually want to see something besides a big, stupid building shaped like a guitar…
Unfortunately MGM midweek bonus still requires you to go to the desk
Dream another Dream, this one is over
Dream Hotel is still just a dream at this point.
Hopefully, it will be completed in a timely manner.
This is the third hotel I’ve heard of poop in the bathroom. What is happening there? I would not ask for a new room. I would try to get into Wynn. That stuff never happens there. I’m nervous about my next trip. That would ruin it thoroughly.
I'm sorry but saying to expect some "dirtyness" in Vegas hotels is totally unacceptable. It will just get worse. Just like all the bs fees, parking etc. As far as memorabilia in hard rock, planet hollywood,I've always been very skeptical with just how much they have/had. Kinda felt a portion was made as filler. There were/are just way too many locations.
The loop is ridiculous. So few passengers per vehicle. What's the point? If they are building stations and tunnels and even above ground I don't understand why we cannot just get mass public transit that the city could really utilize. I do get its privately funded but this was their best idea? The reach of locations would be great if it were a subway or something actually effective. I just cannot get excited about sitting in a tesla in a tunnel basically getting ubered.
Unrelated to any issues discussed in this video……is “sit down Keno” available in ANY casino in Vegas???? Haven’t been back in years with all the changes and expense of being there…Bally’s and Sam’s Town were my last real experience….it dates me I know….but retirement is give and take. Tampa Hard Rock is my go to casino now…..but haven’t ruled out traveling to other destinations… 😐
Players club desks aren’t hard to find. The player status lines are working exactly what they are intended for. The higher the status, the front of the line. Unreasonable to expect it to be different than that.
Tough out Spartans 😂
Great show guys. This really surprises me about Luxor, although I can't speak for the pyramid, the tower room I stayed in for the Las Vegas half marathon was spotlessly clean. It was honestly cleaner than I room or two I've had at Wynn.
I always thought the cab rates were a rip off from airport to strip. It's like 3 miles away SMH The monorail made sense but of course the cab companys blocked that plan!
The worst is when I’m in the Diamond line and feel bad for the person in the gold line waiting forever and nod to let them go…and then …have a 7* arrogantly blast past me next. Happened more than once.

Dream hotel? Just call it the Montecito
Great episode, fellows. The loop seems like a hole in the street that you throw money into. Sadly, MSU didn't do it. I doubt that you will give up on them.
Guitar Hotel, 666🤦♂️
Luxor is a great property but it’s poorly managed. Thankfully mgm owns it. If there’s an issue with the room just speak to the hotel operations manager and they’ll change your room. I’ve stayed many times and my only issue is the elevators.
..worse than vomit?🤣
The volcano is iconic, and I love it, buuut: What does it do FOR the Mirage? The location means the people that come to watch it don’t go anywhere near the Mirage building. These kind of attractions need to be partially visible from the street, but the good view needs to be from the casino proper.
Each team makes its own travel arrangements, but there should be a particular vendor or vendors that NCAA uses.
About memorabilia some of our artist keeps them for their own. Some gives them away to charity and some sells them after some time. We do have a lot of stuff, like clothing, jewelry and guitars etc that we will expose at our showroom in Vegas. ⭐️🖤🤩🖤⭐️
Criss Angel probably donated some punk rock memorabilia.
Hopefully the Volcano can be transferred somewhere🙏.
They should transfer the volcano shell and volcano sprayer somewhere and put it into a museum
👍👍
I thought for sure you were going to say it was the Rio Hotel. The Luxor is in need of a serious update both hard and soft goods, and even the updated rooms are nothing but Bellagio's old furniture, but vomit in the rooms? It happened to me once at Mandalay Bay that the front desk checked us into a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. There were empty beer bottles, ashtrays with cigar stubs and mussed up sheets on the bed. We took 2 steps in and three steps out. Called the front desk and were immediately reassigned another room with their apologies.
Stuff happens and I'm thinking that the media made it worse than it was, which is what they always do. Sensationalism sells. I'm willing to lay odds that the vomit and filth was in one person's room only.
The pyramid is trash never stay there…
Movie memorabilia. There's so much of it because big productions create/buy/use multiples of everything. You can't just have one of something, in case it breaks. In the end, you wind up with five or ten of some prop or outfit. Sometimes, even more.
Stayed at Luxor in 2014 – worst hotel ever. Stains on floors and walls and smelled terrible.
