About 200 huge footprints, left by vast dinosaurs in the Jurassic period 166 million years ago, have been found in a limestone quarry in Oxfordshire in England.

They reveal the comings and goings of two different types of dinosaurs that are thought to be a long-necked sauropod called Cetiosaurus and the smaller meat-eating Megalosaurus. The longest trackways are 150m in length, but they could extend much further as only part of the quarry has been excavated.

The tracks were first spotted by Gary Johnson, a worker at Dewars Farm Quarry, while he was driving a digger.
“I was basically clearing the clay, and I hit a hump, and I thought it’s just an abnormality in the ground,” he said, pointing to a ridge where some mud has been pushed up as a dinosaur’s foot pressed down into the earth.

  1. how do the footprints remain for so many years like even just after the moment when they were created how did they not get fill up in like months or years time and of course there would have been more dinosaurs around that region why arent they seen/present?

  2. Two dominant dates for creation using such models exist, about 5500 BC and about 4000 BC. These were calculated from the genealogies in two versions of the Bible, with most of the difference arising from two versions of Genesis. crazy that they was long before this ??

  3. Still spitting the bs narrative of "millions of years." Funny how it has now jumped to "166." When are you going to finally admit your carbon dating records are inconsistent? Or when are you going to tell the public that we have evidence of "Dragons," living with man from different cultures? Or the fact that we have found Dinosaur skin with blood on it, that can not predate over 10.000 years? The BBC should really start checking where they get their sources from?

  4. The site of these dinosaur tracks provoke feelings of awe and wonder and help us to understand our place in evolution. I hope that the quarry owners are able find a way of preserving them with help from the Universities. It's great they have gathered digital data, but wouldn't it be sacrilege to let them be destroyed? Surely this location should be considered a site of special scientific interest and a national monument that could one day be open to the public – perhaps with an onsite visitor information centre, which could bring in revenue long after all the stone has been extracted.

Since it's the largest track field ever found in Britain, the site should be preserved, but it likely won't be seeing that it's in an active quarry and the bulldozers and dump trucks likely won't stop working and just go away. Similar sites around the world have been protected and now attract tourists. When I was younger, I found a few tracks in a row of some kind of small birdlike (I think) creature on flat bedrock in a creek bed in Upper Bucks County in Pennsylvania. I hadn't thought of them for many years before I watched this video. I wonder if I can find them again in the springtime?🤔 I first found them while fishing in the mid 90's so with all the severe storms since then I don't know if its even possible anymore. They could be under a lot of silt and debris after all this time.
