Original Movie: V for Vendetta
source
The Valerie story is like this little side thing that doesn't even really matter to the overall plot but it's so well done and beautiful and touching. Many movies spend an hour creating a relationship and with less emotion than Ruth and Valerie had.
My favourite little detail is Sutlers eyes.
Specifically his absurdly dilated pupils.
This could be due to a brain injury or tumour but the more likely explanation is drugs. Probably stimulants which would match his manic tone and create another connection to hitler.
15:30 "What does that… mean?"
It means Gordon Deitrich is gay.
37:52 Oh. Son of a gun. Looks like you've never seen any movies from the Matrix series. That's the movie that first brought the Wachowskis to my attention. They've both transitioned by now, so nowadays, they would be the Wachowski sisters, but they've always had a knack for getting to your feels.
In the comic the detective takes acid at Larkhill and experienced what it was like to be someone imprisoned there. Pretty powerful scene.
Who put in 'Cotton Eye Joe' into this movie?
The Commora, The Russian mafia, CJNG and the Triads sre wondering?
Absolutely an all-time favorite. The kind of movie that makes me want to watch it again as soon as it is over.
..imagine watching it during the "plandemic", and knowing when the movie was made.. It is one of my all time favourite movies of all time.. ..and Hugo Weaving, in my opinion, as " V ", was fantastic ! It is hard to express behind a mask and costume, such different sensitivities.. I almost like him here, like in The Matrix, as Agent Smith..
V is Elrond from Lord of the Rings. He is also the dad from Hacksaw Ridge.
The real Guy Fawkes made sure to break his neck when they hung him so he wouldn't be alive when they drawn and quartered him but of course in the movie a squirming man on the end of the rope is more dramatic.
As an English, my thoughts were the same as an American's while watching the White House scene in Independence Day, those being "heheheh, boom".
I'm watching this video in the days when Donald Trump is re-elected as President. A warning?
It's nice to see people coming together for a cause, like Donald Trump being elected again!
It has become a cult classic. The themes of it continue to be relevant today.
One of three films that guarantees to make me bawl every time I watch it. Such powerful dialogue and so well crafted and shot. It's criminal it isn't more well known…
Dude your old videos are literal time capsules of your personality lol how much has changed in only 3 years is cray cray. Love seeing your OG set up from when you first started reactions π
V for Vendetta the movie is based on a comic book graphic novel of the same name that was published for DC vertigo comics.
V for Vendetta is also like a DC vertigo version of the main DC's character of Anarky who is an antihero who lives in Gotham City.
One of Hugo Weavings best and most iconic roles and you never see his face. The things he does with just his voice and body language! Now that is acting!! π
Adam Sutler and Project2025.
get ready to see a lot of what this movie showed starting in January. millions of innocents will be ended inπ and we will be all fucked here
convince me covid wasn't released on poupous to take out trumps economy…….
easily one of the best movies of all time. <3
Bro! I never thought I would watch a movie reaction in an ASMR format before! Vicky, you're so sweet!! πππππ€π€
I'd suggest re-watching this just before Jan 20th… along with the Star Wars movies.
No-one can say they weren't warned. Repeatedly.
This is a very powerful movie, which was perfect for the time that it came out. Even back in the Bush era, when I was in college, this was a very striking message. Thank you for bringing it to the general YouTube population, given this year's Fifth of November.
Wearing red. 5th November 2024.
You need to get used to people dying if you want to survive the next 4 years.
VKunia vivaciously variegated verily vacation vivarium very.
Please React To (Breakdown – 1997)
This movie came true in 2024
its Americas future enjoy you earned it
"Is it meaningless to apologize?"
"Never."
Still hits like a freight train after all these years. She is the personification of V's television speech – that while everyone is corruptible, it doesn't make them irredeemable; they can still choose to do the right thing. He couldn't let her live after what she'd done, but he knew her actions weighed heavily on her soul. It's why he killed her humanely, why he kept using her first name, and why he allowed her to repent. Best scene in the entire movie.
What a film. The parallels reflected today are eerie. I must suggest you watch "1984", you'll recognize the protagonist in it (okay, I'll give a hint: chancellor)
