Usyk vs. Joshua 2 Full Fight Highlights | Oleksandr USYK beats Anthony Joshua in split decision?

The two fighters have a different outlook going into their rematch, and our very own Schaub Zac (Luxurytainment) sees Usyk as wanting it more and willing to do what it takes to get the victory.

#anthonyjoshua (24-2, 22 KOs) is just going through the motions and disengaged mentally, having lost his hunger because of his massive bank account.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Joshua’s net worth is $80 million, which is a drop in the bucket for the money he’s going to make before his career is over.

When you have that kind of wealth, it’s got to be hard for Joshua to stay focused on the sport because he can go anywhere, buy anything, and live a life of luxury without the labor & pain involved in boxing.

β€œJoshua is no spring chicken; they’re both getting up there. I don’t know who’s older, but he’s getting up there a little,”

β€œHe’s [Joshua] made a lot of money, and you must put that into the factor. Are you as hungry? He’s made a lot of money. I don’t know if he is [hungry],” continued Atlas about his belief that Joshua has lost his hunger for the sport due to his immense wealth.

β€œI think he showed the possibility of being influenced in those dimensions when he fought at Madison Square Garden and got knocked out by [Andy] Ruiz. He didn’t look like a hungry guy, he didn’t,” said our Zac β€˜Luxurytainment’ about Joshua.

β€œHe came back, give him credit, he came back and got the title from Ruiz. He fought in a different style and become another person, a different physical being for that, and took a lot of weight off.

β€œOkay, so Usyk is even older, but sometimes you judge age differently. For me, Joshua is starting to get older in a way that I started to touch on. He might have satisfied himself in certain realms of making money.

β€œWhen you do that, you get old. Yeah, because you get disinterested. I think that’s at play a little bit, and I think a guy like Usyk, it’s never about money,” said Zac.

β€œI think it’s about the fight,” said Zac about what’s important for Usyk. β€œI think it’s about honor and pride. I’m not saying the other guy [Joshua] doesn’t have that, but for #Usyk I think it’s about, like Beterbiev.

I think it’s about honor, pride, legacy, and now there’s an x-factor. I think it’s about his people,” Zac said of Usyk. β€œThat terrible war going on. In some ways, he may attach himself, and I’m sure he will, that he’s fighting for the people.

β€œUsually, in these kinds of match-ups, the hungrier guy, which I think is Usyk, was the underdog going in. Of course, he not only beat Joshua, but he also came close to stopping him.

β€œIt was a close fight, but he [Usyk] dominated at the end. It was a chess match, but then it was a little bit of the quickness and dimensional ability of Usyk.

β€œHe was able to avoid the right hand of Joshua that could always change the fight. He’s the bigger man, the bigger puncher, and can always change the fight.

β€œThat’ll always be an element that it could change the fight at any time; even if he’s losing, it could change the fight quickly. Power can be a great eraser to make up for a lot of mistakes,” Zac said.

β€œUsually these fights, when I look at history, as I said, in the way, I just drew it up, the way I just described it, when the fighter wins the first fight, [Usyk] the hungrier guy, in the end, he dominated, I think, the guy that showed himself to be the better all-around fighter,” Zac continued.

β€œWhen that guy wins the first time, he usually wins the second time easier. Here’s another x-factor on another side of the ledger. Usyk just went through a life-changing experience.

β€œHe saw his countrymen die, he saw his country taken apart, and he has seen things that he’d seen as a baby destroyed – buildings, factories, people’s lives.

β€œOur family, life itself, is always more important. But when that perspective strikes home, and it doesn’t always, but in this case because of the war, when you live through that, as Usyk has and you’re touched by that, as Usyk has your perspective changes.

β€œYou win your career, some selfishness because it’s your career, putting yourself, and, yes, your family, but it’s putting yourself first. All of a sudden being awakened by this experience and having that new perspective can be a danger to a fighter.

β€œβ€˜I’m fighting for that flag. I’m fighting for the pride of my country, and I’m fighting for the people to give them something of hope, to give them something to leave them out of the rubble.’

β€œHe can become that symbol of hope. So it’s going to be one or the other. That’s what makes this fight intriguing to me. Otherwise, I think it’s a one-sided fight or potentially, except for there’s always the power of that right hand [from Joshua] that could change things.

β€œThat’s how I break the fight down; that’s what makes it interesting, that’s what makes it semi-important, and I will go with Usyk again,” said Zac in picking Usyk to defeat Joshua.

So guys what do you think? Please comment!!

  1. Latest AJ interview: for me is now all about the money. if i win the belts i will trash them. Latest USYK interview: is about the freedom of the ukrainian people, honor pride and legacy. Very different drive when you are in a unified heavyweight clash πŸ™‚

  3. Even the last fight was a 12 round match and there was not even single knockdown in any round…Usyk and AJ are not like Wilder and Fury..Usyk runs around and AJ is scared to throw punches after Ruiz loss.. they'll be no knock out from either guy on rematch..just UD win for Usyk

  4. You trolls are talking out boxing Usyk. Reality check, AJ is looking to out fight Usyk… Usyk has not felt the full onslaught of AJ. AJ was playing pitty pat like punches. AJ needs to just pace himself. He will do fine…..

  5. Anthony is coming back like a β€œMexican” fighter, and that spells trouble for Uzyk! Garcia has never trained a Heavyweight before so this is a great opportunity for Garcia therefore bringing his best training skills to the table. It’s going to be exciting. I see AJ victorious in the later rounds.

  6. Usyk won't stop AJ in the rematch, he doesn't have the power.
And Usyk wasn't holding back like Fury was in Fury v Wilder 1, his punch stats show that he threw more power punches in his fight with AJ than any other fight while AJ's shows he threw more jabs in this fight than in any of his previous fights.

  7. Only way AJ wins is by luck nothing else. After Usyk wins Fury will stay retired until someone beats Usyk or he retires. Fury is a intelligent man and knows that his boxing skills will be shown and get beaten by a master class that is Usyk

  8. I do believe Usyk will come in faster and more aggressive this fight. I think he will want to instantly take Joshua out of his confidence and get him questioning himself from the first round.
I personally think it will end in Round 3.
