  2. It will probably be decommissioned in a couple of years with the rest of her class. The ships of this class was found to be duds and not fit for purpose but they are still building them. Some were decommissioned after a few years service. Another win for the US Military Industrial Complex. I worry about the building of our nuke submarines. Will our nation be able to afford it if their budgets blow out like our other defence projects mostly do. Who knows, at the end of the day, they might even cost 500 Billion dollars, especially if the woman who was in charge of Robodebt is a senior executive in the defence department.

  3. Is one to assume the USS Canberra, an American warship, has travelled halfway around the world not commissioned, therefore in a state far from being "ready for action"? Seems the Pentagon and the USN have lost the plot entirely.

  4. Why does Australia have a Harrier and F-35B compatible LHA. Complete with ramp. Making it an almost aircraft carrier. Australian Air Force is getting F-35A. But I had no idea that F-35B, or second hand HarrierII from US or UK are in offering. Or are Australians hedging their bets and want to have F-35B cross-deck capability to hols US Marine and Royal nany Fleet Air Arm F-35B's in near future?
