The Mars habitat module unit is a derivative device design based on the Shanghai Astronomy Museum “Sailing to Mars” exhibition hall. Its design inspiration comes from human exploration of Martian immigrants. With teenagers as the main target group, the design concept is to strengthen hands-on, aiming to show teenagers the necessary resources to live on Mars and the appearance and structure of the Mars base. Structurally, the vertical urban structure design of the future Mars base is adopted, with modular display of the distribution and interconnection of functional communities within the base; Technically, the combination of control panels, light strips, and various sensors provides users with an immersive experience that combines multiple senses such as vision and touch. The Mars habitat module unit simplifies and visualizes complex popular science knowledge, guiding teenagers to understand Mars in an interactive way and improving their understanding of the universe.
