USA Trip 2022 – Did someone say 'Ma Deuce'?

I did have a handful of days in the USA when I wasn’t on a ship, this was the last of them, courtesy of some wonderful people in Maryland it was still a huge amount of fun.

  1. Drach, it was great to have you! Now you are a true gun expert having shot more guns that most Americans. You shot 34 different guns that day and we only got a small fraction on film. I was great having Mrs Drach. We are both making our debut on your channel today. We enjoyed having you both! If anyone has specific gun questions, I am happy to help answer.

  2. Having a SPAS 12 is very painful, especially to the wallet. Your food budge increases ten fold, at least. But you won't have to worry about goblins, anymore.

  3. Just for more info guys the first rifle …M16/AR- 223 is the standard which translates to 5.56×45 which is the standard NATO round and the most common rifle round to date along with 308 and the kalashnikovs 7.62×39 and their newer 5.45×39 . I believe the most common hunting round in the UK is 22.LR , 243 and the mighty 308 ….. jealous you got to shoot the martini henry mate ! 🙃😃

Once upon a time, the US Army went to see the God of Guns and asked him, "Can you make us an anti-tank rifle machine gun for the Big Push in 1919?"
And God went up to the mountaintop, and came back six days later, for on the seventh day he rested.
The US Army was struck dumb with his glory, and raising trembling hands in supplication said, "I will use this gun for the next thousand years!"
And so it was then, and so shall it be, for Ma Deuce came down from heaven to anoint and smite our enemies with our wrath until the end of time.

    Praise Be, Amen.

  5. Drac, you're left-handed! Wow. That makes firing a lot of these weapons a bit less comfortable as most firearms eject to the right. Glad you had fun and got to have a true American experience! 😉 We do like our guns….

  6. I hope you can make it back to the States when the USS Texas completes its restoration. It should be in dry dock within a month. The videos being posted by Tom Scott are amazing. I had no idea the intense manpower requirements needed for a true Dreadnought to function without the automation common in later Super Dreadnoughts.

  7. A half inch of hell screaming down range will put a crimp in anyone on the receiving ends day!

Each round of .50 BMG is about $4.00 USD if you are reloading it yourself. More if you have to buy it.

I am glad her Ladyship got to enjoy the freedom of firearms. It is very cathartic to discharge such things, not in anger!

God bless and keep the MD MG club!

  9. Drach, homie… the contributions of Mrs. Drach in this video are her staking out her turf. First she catches you from your widest angle so you don't attract as many hoochies, then she makes sure you show that she knows how to use a Maxim gun in case the hoochies didn't catch the hint.

  10. For you Europeans watching this, let me explain. What you are seeing is money being turned into noise… lots and lots of money… that M2 is really expensive to shoot…

  11. I've seen every one's citizens AR type weapon jam at the range. But with my AK-47, 97% of the time, I can shoot mine until they're smoking hot, and the stock is hot to hold before I stop.

  12. drach, .223 and 5.56 are essentially the same thing. technically. 223 is a slightly different sized chamber and an old firearm designed for .223 could potentially be damaged if you fired full power military 5.56 ammo in it, but for the vast majority of firearms in this caliber you can use the terms .223 and 5.56 interchangeably. most modern guns in that caliber are designed around a 5.56 chamber and designed to handle 5.56 pressures (regardless if its labled .223 or 5.56).

glad you had fun. if your ever in Kentucky we have a bunch of machine gun shooters here too (though sadly the massive knob creek machine gun shoot ended a couple of years ago and won't be returning).

  13. anybody know what ammo they were shooting in that maxim? i noticed one round hesitate and then toss a lot of smoke and then a handful of hesitations on the rest of the belt. I'm guessing it's farily old surplus to do that. that first smokey round that hesitated would actually worry me a bit. blowing up a maxim would *suck*.
