We already know the Dutch DSI are a very capable and professional unit, but referencing the Dutch Navy special operations component specifically, itβs clear to see how they help set up the DSI for success

No, The Netherlands do not have mountain ranges and 'real' winter. Those trainings are elsewhere. I guess, if counterterrorism units are going to be international, snow and mountain training would need to happen, even if not ones' own climate or terrain.
Holland is basically all flat, so the mountain training looks like Norway.
This is verified by other comments that see below.
I guess, the Greek equivalent of this unit is the Hellenic Coastguard's MYA.
This is an all professional force of between 120 to 150 HCG personnel, specializing in special operations at sea.
This unit has Counter Terrorism, EOD and VIP protection at sea teams.
Along with the Hellenic Navy OYKs (SEALS), they train regularly with US Navy SEALS.
This is a short video about them:

The need for the creation of this unit arose after the terrorist attack in July 11, 1988 on the Greek passenger ship called City of Poros, carrying 471 passengers, by two Arab terrorists.
This video is the trailer of a movie regarding this event, that contains actual scenes from the 1988 terrorist attack on the ship:

(The two black and white pictures shown in the video, are the two terrorists involved).
Just watched a documentary on training the Ukrainians on British tanks you may like https://youtu.be/S9-Eghtai3s
The Netherlands also has some islands in the Caribbean
Its all show believe me straight Amateurs in my country π
All special forces are excellent at what they do nowadays be thankful that the best are good allies and we'll always have each others backs.
Denmark owns Greenland so they could also be doing arctic training there. BTW I'm a former active duty army, current national guard soldier, good to see another person living in Washington!
Obviously, the asshole tyrants want to test out the new weapons so they can make better ones with even higher profit. Anyone who thinks otherwise probably voted for Obiden…right?
M Squadron is the one operating within the DSI. C Squadron is overseas
hello combat arms channel! i would like to send you a video about the deployment of my time as a tank soldier (shot by the company in 1997), but i don't know how to send you the link to it. i don't know how to reach you (email doesn't work)!
you can also upload it to youtube…
The Dutch trainen in Norway π
The Finnish Karhu special police group (hostage rescue and anti terrorism etc.) train a lot with helicopters. In wartime this group will work together with Finnish SOF
The cold weather training is in norway but it dates back to the cold war when it was called wishkey company. The old ski training course is stil here in the netherlands but is out of use. It was done in case Russia would try to invade Finland again, so the nlmarsof can give support to the Finnish.
What might be interesting for you to watch regarding the royal dutch marines Corp, is the dutch approach. It's aboute the train hayjacking in the 70s
"Having some savings is worth it, but having investments is the wisest decision one can ever make, in order to be financially stable"….I heard this from someone π₯°π―
NATO task to protect Norwegian coast

MORE UKRAINIAN COMBAT FOOTAGE REACTIONS
6:16 These green shoes made my day π«’π€£
DSI do helicopter inserts. At least they train for it.
It is strange why there is no reaction on your channel to a battle in a trench somewhere near Bakhmut, the Ukrainian soldier with the call sign "Predator" and his partner against the Russian military and a tank. 2 vs 12. The most epic video of the war from point blank range.
Jeans and sneakers are standard issue with the dsiπ
4:39 – 7:39 is from a large training event, with over 200 actors in a large hospital complex.
It was covered by a police blogger who got a lot of footage on the inside and behind the scenes.
If you want to watch the whole thing, search for "POLITIE | EXTREEM GEWELD | CRISISOEFENING | TERRORISME | TRAINING"
Will you be willing to react to "Trench Warfare – 1 Ukrainian Soldier VS 12 Russian Marines and a Tank" when you have time?
Here I go, putting my advanced degree in geography to good (if infrequent) use:
The Netherlands is a very flat country; in fact, the Netherlands literally means "lower countries" in reference to this low elevation and flat topography. About 26% of its area and 21% of its population is located below sea level. The Vaalserberg is a hill (Wikipedia calls it a hill – I'm not being a snooty Californian with all our highs and lows) in the far SE, that's 1,058ft/322.4m – which makes it the highest point in the European part of the Netherlands.
.
>> Fun fact: This very flat country has two active volcanoes!
In the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is Mount Scenery located on the island of Saba. With a height of 2,910ft/887m, this is the highest peak in the Netherlands. The last eruption of Mount Scenery occurred around 1640. And Quill is located on St. Eustatius. The top of this volcano is 1,972ft/601 meters. Its last eruption was around 250 AD.
— All of the above was found on Wikipedia and other Netherlands pages
.
.
What did we do before Wikipedia? I was there. I went through college then. I should know. But I guess my memory can longer reach back to the dawn of time when that part of my life was lived.π
The netherlands is like the 2nd most flat country in the world. The mountain training is typically done elsewhere in europe.
So these guys are te elite of the dutch marine corps. You can only join them if you are with the marine corps en have some experience (donβt know how much years tho) if you want to join them you need to under go a very hard selection. The NLmarsof has 2 squadrons. The C-Squadron is for the special international missions they are mostly deployed outside The Netherlands. The M-Squadron (also known as the Unit Intervention Marines) is the counter terrorism unit witch is mostly deployed under the flag of the DSI. Thanks for checking our small country. PS: the mountains are in Norway. The Netherlands is a flat country with no mountains at all.
