If this were a movie, US was behind Hamas knowing Israel would respond this way, supports their decision, knowing that would ruin global support for Israel. since US has many bases in Saudi Arabia, eventually, taking control of that area and become proxy government in Israel. US takes full control over the Middle East. Russia is busy with Ukraine, financially and already deployed gives US further position. No country on Russia's border can claim to be neutral without Russia continously flexing it's might on it's neighbors which brought about the former "Iron Curtain" to begin with. This site is nothing more than a hidden MAGA agenda which cites that NATO's expansion into Eastern Europe is the cause of Russian aggression. Let's ask all those nations (Baltics, Poland, Finland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and to a certain extent the Balkans-former Yugoslavia) to see how "safe" they feel in a netural position with their shared borders with Russia or Belarus (Soviet State). The trigger date was not 2008, but when Russia decided to invade the US based on ethnic Russian rights not NATO EXPANSION. Russia is also aware of the economic addage the Ukraine can provide (raw materials, port access etc.). The former Nazi Intelligence Chief, Gehlen, has little to no influence in what happened in the Ukraine from 1945-present date as the Ukraine was a Soviet state the duration of this time. It would be no different than claiming The Cipher Team at Bletchley Park UK was responsible for breaking the German Enigma Codes when in fact, it was Poland that is credited for that feat – Poland too, fell behind the Iron Curtain and from 1945 to present date, Poland's efforts regarding morse code (albeit excellent work), had zero results on the current structure of the National Security Agency or the British Ground Communications Headquarters at Cheltenham. The point in both Gehlen and Polish Cryptography is a moot point for comparision purposes to the Ukraine or a nation's morse code's activities. Ukraine, as a sovereign nation, favored to join the EU and to some extent NATO, not because Ukraine was bored, but rather that it knew there would be continuous issues with Russia regarding borders – the Crimea was a perfect example of this. Insofar Russian minorities in the Ukraine, there are issues on BOTH sides of this coin – Russian minorities being treated unfairly and Russian Insurgents ensuring to stir up these minorities in order to influence Moscow's desire to control Kiev like it does Minsk. The Ukrainians have every right to form it's own military and apparently it was needed as we see the current situation today. Had the Ukrainians "settled" with Russia, Ukraine would be nothing more than Belarus which today, has the worst record of human rights in Europe and is a vassal of Russia – Ukraine was having none of it and rightfully so.
Putin's basic goal is to reestablish Russia as the former Soviet Union controlling all nations it borders – that's not going to happen as we saw with both Finland and Sweden joining NATO. I haven't seen the USA invade Mexico or Canada simply based on a shared border issue. As of today, Putin has had a heart attack, the Russian conscripts are deserting nor do they want to fight in the Ukraine, the Crimea is being attacked and taken over, and both the Russian war machine and it's economy is at a grinding halt with Putin even reaching out to China for help – which never came. Ukraine will join the EU and eventually NATO and if not joining NATO, Ukraine will be armed by the West to which Russia will think twice before attempting to invade again.
None of what has been stated here to happen – has happened. In fact, Russia is not doing too well and no, it's military is not growing or it's military industrial complex gaining leverage. When Putin has to reach out to China for support and recently suffererd a stroke/heart attack, those are indicators that Russia isn't exactly in a good positon.
Things, change for day to day; however, this site is very one-sided presented, with Russia being the favored side. To date, there has been NO neutral nation that borders Russia or the former Soviet Union that enjoyed "neutrality" with Russia next door. Ukrainians going into Norway, Germany, Poland etc. are not just coming asking for "handouts" as stated by the narrator – utterly shameful to portray Ukrainian refugees of conflict to economic migrants – nice try. I live in Europe and have worked at the International Office of Strategic Studies in London prior to becoming a surgeon. Although the analysis given here of the Ukrainian/Russian War is plausible, it is skewered in many forms retorting to historical that have a somewhat narrow relation to actual current events. Suggest a more in-depth analysis from numerous perspectives not just comments based on military constructs based on beveled desires of a former military analyst.
Thats dumb! Ukraine and any country has a right to join nato. Russia has no businessvsaying what other countries do, neither does usa. Wish countries would mind theirown business .

An intelligent people in the United States would want to be an ally with Russia, but after Russia helped to defeat the Nazis in World War 2, the British and US allied forces bombed and killed thousands of innocent Russian civilians. The older I get, the more I question the people who lead our country in the United States.
