The coast guard doesn’t get enough credit, they are bad ass and America’s first line of defense. I’m thankful for my coastguard brothers and sisters. 👍👊 Every member of the armed forces respects PJ’s!

wow. glad i joined the usaf instead of coast guard. i did interact with usaf pj's though. thos e guys are nuts. seriously. that's a pretty intense bunch. my unit deployed them from c130's and h60's. we had 2 of our 130's equipped with tanks for probe and drogue refueling.
That transition from coast guard to marines was so subtle I scarcely noticed it.

Over the years I have contact with the CG inspectors during PSC all over the US, always kind and professional, however I noted a decline in the inspectors military manners, their dress , the way they carry themselves, not very presentable, with cowboy boots, dirty overall, with uscg logo peeling from the overall fabric, weak technical knowledge, officers that don't look the part, and enlisted that lookalike they are asking themselves "why I am here"…

Why pursue? Shoot the engines and it will stop. Easy peasy.
Maybe we need to get the coast guard to defend america against enemies domestic, such as the FBI, and the Biden "administration".

After graduating high school I was planning to join the USCG but was offered and accepted a job at my hometown fire department (I later also achieved paramedic certification). I enjoyed my career but sometimes I wonder "what if"
