If you own a 2006-2014 Kia Sedona, there’s something crucial you need to know, especially as these vans get older.
There are three water hoses that converge at the back, connecting with a T-connector. This T-Hose plastic is starting to fail and has catastrophically shattered on 3 of my vans this year, causing them to overheat and ruin 2 of the motors.
Here is the part on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3ZfXvPe
Here’s what you need to do:
1. First, remove the air intake.
2. Next, loosen the throttle body.
3. Then, undo the clip. The clip won’t release until you slide the gray piece back.
You’ll also need to remove the factory squeeze clamps from the hoses and replace them with regular hose clamps. Be aware that the old hoses will likely be fused to the brittle T-connector, which will shatter when you try to remove it.
It’s critical to make sure you don’t leave any broken pieces in the hose, as that will cause problems down the line.
Once you’ve replaced everything, this is your new T-connector and hose clamps.
I hope this helps you avoid a catastrophic failure.

2009 Nissan Xterra has these problems
Don't replace those spring clamps with worm clamps. There a special tool for them that makes them easy. They have the correct clamping force all the way around. The worm clamps aren't uniform, and they cut hoses and break easy!
I seriously thought that was a pull start handle for a moment. 😅
There’s a reason they use those tension clamps sir
Those worm clamps will smash the plastic press you're putting them on. Just because you're having a hard time using the spring clamps don't make them bad. Buy a pair of vise grips for the springs.
Good old plastic
