Find the s class sentinal ship
There is lots of bangs and flashes during those pirate attacks. Do they damage anything?
If you need an inverted mirror for a Sentinel ship, simply select the ship mission in your log once you've done the brain: your visor's target sweeper will point you to the nearest without fail! 🙂
To decrease the charge time for the BJ, add more modules! 🙂 You were only hitting the 'sail' of that Resonator; hitting the rounded body section is far more damaging. Likewise I think you may have missed (or not fully charged) the factory door opening shots: IME it only takes 3 or 4 un-upgraded fully charged shots to break that door (less if you've more modules ofc)
When in a factory, never take the nanites option: you'll only get ~100. In this case your best bet would have been the MT expansion slot, but if you had to have a recipe the Atlas Pass Mk2 would have been a good pick: it's easy to get cadmium from unwanted ship upgrades (eg c-class weps, drive etc but not shields). On that subject, if you're short of copper, breaking down those rocket launchers will give you a bunch of copper & IIRC 50 condensed carbon each
All Sentinel ships on the same planet will have identical models, but their stats/classes are randomised (which you can check with your visor prior to fixing the ship). If you don't like the model you have, you'll need to find another Dissonant planet to search. If you /do/ plan on keeping the new ship, it's a lot quicker to uninstall the modules from your old ship into its cargo, then move them over (in the easily-overlooked cargo tab) prior to claiming
You're still ignoring the trick of claiming a crashed ship, then summoning it to the Anomaly to get a free repair. Cheesy early-game, & usually unnecessary later, it's still v useful to get those awkward ships from difficult planets quickly
