Plan International and SAPCONE supported project participants in Turkana West with conditional and unconditional cash transfers. Conditional cash transfers were provided upon meeting specific criteria like attending health clinics or skills training, fostering positive behavior change. Unconditional cash transfers were given without conditions to alleviate immediate needs such as food or healthcare expenses. Additionally, participants received capacity-building workshops and financial literacy training to enhance their financial management skills. Continuous monitoring ensured program effectiveness and sustainability. By combining both types of transfers with support services, the initiative aimed to empower participants, alleviate poverty, and foster long-term economic resilience in Turkana West.
