It may be simply an opossum.
You sure it not a prairie dog they tunnel all over
It could be a farret
I have armadillos up here in Wedowee Alabama and that's what it looks like up here
I'm leaning toward Raccoon
That looked like deer dropping and armadillos tear up the yard like that digging for grubs. Go out at night with a spotlight they are nocturnal you may catch it in the act. When your dogs are barking is a good time to check. They will test your sod up
It could be a skunk
Could you sprinkle some flour or something similar at the entrance to show if something is walking in and out (tracks) to confirm if the burrow is still active?
I think it's a groundhog . Holly is a beauty but all the pups or I just like Holly personality. Great vedio
A skunk will make Lil holes like that all over,or they do around here
Skunks scratch up like that and if it is a skunk that means you have grubs. Get rid of the grubs and the skunk will go. Hope you catch the culprit π
It is probably a ground hog, you want to get rid of it so the animals do not step in its hole and break a leg. My uncle used to shoot them to protect his animals.
Yep thatβs armadillo looking for grubs guarantee it ..
If you LOVE animals the way that I do, watch this vid titled: PANCHO LOST IN ANTIBES. 2 mins and 15 sec of sheer loveβ¦
Put used coffee grounds in the holes and ground. Thatβs how I stopped it in my yard!
We donβt have armadillo up here in WV but Iβm pretty sure those were bunny π©I clean up those exact things out of my bunnyβs house everydayπ
It is definitely an armadillo!!!! Iβve had several on my property. One dug just the same kind of burrow under my 500 gallon propane tank. My neighbor had a burrow in his west forty. He hunted them with my dog and we got steak for dinner when she brought it to him to shoot! They are hungry for grub worms, which are June beetle larvae. Their main staple of food. Iβve watched them dig at night as I worked Late. They are good for the environment as they help eradicate underground larvae including wireworms. Iβd fence the Garden well and let the Armadillo help eradicate the bad bug larvae. Less bugs coming to fruition is better all around!
We've been having issues too. Shane @kinfolkfarmsga has a trap that looks neat.
my guess is Armadillo as I have no experience with them. If here in British Columbia, I may guess it could be a marmot. Good luck, and we will be watching to find out.
Close to the woods may be a Ground Hog !!!
Hope you catch whatever it is. By the way how's your mom doing in her new home?
i think a badger
I think it's moles
JASON, what about calling the game warden and probably they might have your answer.
Foxes
It looks like a WOMBAT hole to me π
Looks like it could be a skunk

As my guess is armadillos. We have them on our property in Texas. They can smell grubs and dig holes in fields and lawns.
It looks like armadillo markings.
That's a hard shelled possum, the crazy destructive armadillo!
Rabbits can do that damage and burrow
ππ
Hello Cog Hill Couple, Regarding the Burrow We do not have Armadillos here in the southern Appalachian mountains in PA. But we have foxes, rabbits, raccoons, and groundhogs. They all use holes that look like yours. It is usually on a little ridge like yours and there are usually multiple entrances/exits. Some times a groundhog den becomes a rabbit warren and may be surprisingly extensive. Possums and skunks will often dig little holes looking for the grubs of Japanese beetles, cicadas, and the grubs from other beetles like June bugs etc. As long as they find them they will hang around. The grubs seem to be a good food source for the critters. They will really dig up my home orchard area or the lawn as we are organic and use no poison sprays. The den holes can sometimes be along a field edge, fence row or along a little rise and usually there are some trees nearby. I watch you folks everyday, and always enjoy you folks…. Blessings to you. Rick
I THINK IT IS A RABBIT CAUSE OF THE PELETS LAYING RIGHT BY IT
It's not a mole. They burrow under ground n make tunnels
Looks like a badger hole..
I'm still thinking it's an armadillo. They live underground and they dig tons of little divots in the yard.
I hope you can find out what your critter is!β€β€π
Could it be……….a one eyed, one horned, flyin' purple people eater!
Orlo might be a cat
Chad from Adler Farms had a mess of burrows.
can you put up a game camera to see what it is?
Looks like an armadillo.
I mainly have rabbits as my major pest, and their damage looks nothing like what you have. Their burrows are literally shallow holes on the ground, and they don't cause as much damage as your seeing.
I think this is a fire ant nest and colony. Lmk.
I'm thinking the burrow looks like a groundhog burrow. However. Can u put up a night trail cam??
The big hole is the main burrow. The smaller holes can be air holes for where it burrows all under the ground.
My husband said to look up buzzer nest because they lay their eggs in a hole in the ground
