Weird fiction is subgenre of supernatural and horror fiction that dates back to the 19th century and still enjoyed to this day. Authors like Robert W. Chambers and HP Lovecraft breathed life into the subgenre with The King in Yellow and the entirety of the Cthulu mythos, respectively.
And to this day weird fiction’s influence echoes through time to influence contemporary media like Stranger Things.
