In Oxygen Not Included you’ll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth and sustenance are constant threats to your colony’s survival. Guide colonists through the perils of subterranean asteroid living and watch as their population grows until they’re not simply surviving, but thriving…
Just make sure you don’t forget to breathe.
Build Extensive Bases and Discover What it Takes to Survive:
Everything in your space colony is under your control, from excavation and resource allocation right down to plumbing and power systems. Resources will begin depleting with your first breath, however, so be sure to dig fast if you want to live.
It’s Mind Over Matter with Stress Simulations:
Keep the psychological impact of survival at bay with fun leisure activities, great accommodations and even better food for your colony. Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.
Avoid Boiling with Thermodynamics:
Temperature control is a constant concern in space; too cold and you’ll freeze, too hot and you’ll fry. Keep tabs on ambient environmental temperatures and your colony’s heat production to maintain a nice, cozy atmosphere for your colonists.
Enhance Efficiency through Complex Gas and Liquid Simulations:
Create interlocking pipe systems to swiftly deliver fuel and liquid to critical areas of your base. Plan well and be rewarded as your colony transforms into an imperishable, well-oiled machine.
Take Charge with Power Grid Simulations:
Choose from a multitude of power sources including coal, hydrogen, natural gas or just plain old elbow grease. Manage power runoff, circuit overloads and meltdowns to keep your colony running smoothly.
Always Keep Yourself Breathing:
Enter the Oxygen Overlay and watch air moving through your base in real-time. Monitor carbon dioxide accumulation and oversee oxygen generation processes to mold your colony into a veritable deep-space oasis.
Waste Nothing through Extreme Recycling:
Make use of every last resource for a base that truly exemplifies efficiency. Recycle waste into precious fuel, process unbreathable gas into air, or harness the natural bodily processes of wild creatures for food. If you’re clever, you might even be able to run a base off colonist farts.
Explore Diverse, Procedurally Generated New Worlds:
Summon new worlds with a push of a button. Experience tons of untamed space rocks, then suffocate to death in them!

Spaced Out DLC:
The Duplicants are back again, and this time they’re ready to rebuild their colonies from the mysterious remains of a planet torn asunder!
In Oxygen Not Included: Spaced Out! you’ll spearhead space missions to new and undiscovered Planetoids, transport resources between bases, and manage multiple worlds on the fly to build a megacolony that not only survives but hopefully, thrives.
New Multi-World Gameplay
Put your colony management skills to the test by juggling the needs of Duplicants in multiple colonies simultaneously. Switch between planets in real-time and secure rare resources on other worlds to supply your home base.
Expanded Rocketry
Customize new modular rockets to your liking, then explore the expanse of space with the newly overhauled Starmap. Huge expansions to the Research Tree provide new mid-game Rocketry options, giving your Duplicants an edge in the asteroid space-race.
New Critters
Get acquainted with some new fuzzy friends – if you’re nice, they might help you out around the colony!

Freeze all the water on Hydrini, or if you want to kill your FPS, make it into a super fish tank 🙂
An endgame build: the regolith melter. You could set it up on the planet that has meteor showers, and shoot the excess magma to another planet and use it for power.
I wanna see a regolith melter! I've only seen it in obscure base lovin' videos, but never seen one being built. The idea is that regolith melts at some temperature, and forms magma at the same temperature but with a much higher heat capacity, essentially just multiplying the energy in the tile -> free power. That can then power the sour gas boilers and like 10 other contraptions. Don't know if it still works, would be fun to see it constructed! And Nathan the Dupe certainly has the qualifications 😅
make a rust melter, you problably have a ooot of it to melt
Jet pack!! Every time a youtuber ask for crazy idea I will say jet pack and wee all know it's stupid with the lag it produce, but what if it's only 1 dupe? Also I'm not sure you killed the frozen dupe and burried the other haha nice video as always!
Suggestion: research reactor to mutate plant seeds and a lead suit to protect you. Thanks for another ONI video, Nathan! Cheers! 💚
Suggestion: Terraform a planetoid to house all the different creatures and plants
There are a lot of things keeping this from being a mega or whatever it’s called.
IMO keep this series around to make random contraptions you feel like doing on a whim.
I think you should just worry about yourself and post stuff you are interested in. The people watching your content are in it for you and you are supposed to be doing this for fun remember?
I think you should tie in those hydrogen vents into whatever that planet they are on is doing
You should definitely get some mutant planting going you can link it to maximizing your resin production if you care enough.
Iirc one of the plants produces insane amounts of hydrogen?
What would be cool is using this one dupe to be able to create a sustainable base for 100 dupes for "x" cycles. No i don't mean just setting up a a few farms and storing 100 million kcal but a base that can sustain them day to day
Also wouldnt the niobium water pump trick with the sweeper picking up the bottles from the pump work with the water to the advanced station?
Purify polluted oxygen by liquefying it. Use a counterflow heat exchanger to save power. I think it'll kill germs too, so it's a "great" way to tame an infectious polluted oxygen vent!
I'd love to see just how hot you can get something. Can you boil magma? Or steel??
what do you think about have a minicolony of 4 dups that they cant go out, full automated, idling like lab rat experiment?
A mausoleum for the dead dupe 🙂
build a forest of dupe statues cuz its "one dupe"
Maybe try that dream machine thingy from the new update? Food seasoning machine and crop mutation would be good too.
I wish there was something in the game that was just super power hungry so it would be worth making mega projects. Maybe like more teleport gates or something. Right now, I just don't use insulation or thermium for anything. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of mega project you choose.
Whatever you wind up doing, go nuts!😵💫
"TERRA PAX"
I always wanted to see a multi-level greenhouse housing every single plant in the game 😀 or indeed, more boilers to refine metal automatically, without the need for duplicant labor. But I think what would be most useful is a centralized storage that can automatically ship materials (like coal and phosphorite) to other planetoids
