Retsu is built like a yakuza character with all those counters
grimmjaw counter only works during beam charge up, when the beam is unleashed you can m1 them they don't have iframes

A good fix for retsu would be this.
1.make windmill punches work like a normal counter, being able to earn the buffs from both m1s/m2s and moves(excluding ults and assists) and make regular windmill punches a weak extender if you use it in neutral. cause damn retsu got no extenders 😂
2. Make shaori an evasive that gives you a defense bonus for a short period of time. Games like project baki did this for retsu v2 style so i dont know why HA couldnt? (retsu also did this in the anime when fighting pickle to not get killed do the devs just hate later seasons of baki?)
3. Remove that stupid ass shadow walk and add another move called “4000 yrs of chinese martial arts barrage”. If you watch the anime retsu throws a barrage of punches, this would be a combo ender if you comboed with neutral windmill punches.
infernasu just so u know, when a grimmjow uses a normal cero and they miss, just hit them while the ceros out. You keep trying to hit the once the move ends but they dont get armor in that move just cancel it

The problem is that you haven’t learnt 4000 years of Chinese martial arts so you can’t use him properly
shadow walks passive makes your enemy have getup stun if they're in the air, so you can walk behind them as you do your uplauncher to extend with it
infernasu when a character doesnt have 5 million effects flashing in ur eyes or 40 dmg moves 🤬🤬
windmill mode is so bad if you land it you should get 50 seconds of hyperarmor and double

The whole heavens arena combat is slow, underwhelming combos and odd over all

Lots of folks confused by the title I say he’s underwhelming cuz he’s boring and kinda bland compared to all other characters releases you don’t have to agree just my opinion

his 1 is so fast, you can use it when someone is M1ing you while you're blocking and also you can knockback by using 4 M1s and use 1 so you can combo extend, pretty neat. Also his shadow walk, when you M2 behind someone it will do that getup stun animation to them.

I feel that shadow walk should be as fast as alucards red mist, because its litterally that but worse :/
