Debris found near the Titanic is from the submersible Titan, OceanGate Expeditions confirmed. All five of its passengers are …

  1. People need to realise that the CEO didn't tie these people up and kidnap them…. 4 people signed up and after reading the documentation they still wanted to go. Stop blaming someone all because you're too scared to do something worth while

  2. So they wasted millions of taxpayer money to save 5 billionaires that snubbed safety concerns from 50 year old white men and kept the hopes up on false pretenses. We have the "best acoustic analytic men and equipment in the world…" BULLCRAP! Again…millions of taxpayer money to save 5 billionaires that snubbed safety concerns from 50 year old white men, the estates of these people MUST reimburse the taxpayers of every nation involved. Screw it, they built it, rejected'convention' and took the risk then WE HAVE TO FOOT THE BILL TO RESCUE THEM; ALL THE WHILE THE RESCUERS KNEW THEY WHERE DEAD!

  3. At the time of the implosion wouldn't the mother ship see a burst of air reach the surface of the water?
Also, wouldn't there be something floating on the surface?

  4. nobody will recover that much of that sub to do a reconstruction. the north alantic is dangerous hey will be there as short of time as possible. all these people have other jobs to do and nobody wants another ship down there.

  5. If only people could put away the fascination over the glamour and fanfare of what the Titanic was in its day and remember it is a memorial for all those who died in such a big tragedy. Another tragedy taking 5 lifes unnecessarily could have been averted.

  6. For anyone who wants more information:
Confirmed a couple hours after loss of comms, the sub had a catastrophic implosion. The craft had never even been tested to be deemed “sea worthy”
Working in international waters they didn’t have to follow any guidelines that could have prevented this horrible event.
The Titan sub had emergency systems in place to alert of hull failure. Most likely they had many alarms stating the hull integrity was compromised.

The Titan craft had released all weight and had activated emergency management protocol: acting according to the emergency whilst taking into account those emergency actions could cause complete hull failure, meaning they had to manage the speed at which they rose to the surface due to pressure changes causing increased stress on the hull.

The craft had never reached the maximum depth it was said to be capable of reaching, the furthest depth the Titan had ever reacher was appx 3000meters. The craft never had testing on the oxygen capabilities and the “96 hours” was never actually tested with the craft at maximum capacity (5 people). The hull was built for space exploration, meaning its capabilities were more honed to vacuum pressures, not meant for exponential continuous pressures. Basically saying, Rush Stockton was completely and utterly ignorant causing him and 4 others to be killed instantaneously.

    Rip Hamish Harding.
Rip Shahzada Dawood and Sulnan Dawood
    Rip Paul-Henry Nargeolot
Among those who passed – Rush Stockton.
