Uncovering Hidden Treasures at a Dry Creek: A Rockhounding Expedition to Remember

Come along with Chopper and I as we journey back in time following an old dry creek bed. Take a look at the tumbled river rock eroding from the walls of gravel once home to flowing waters of another time. This dry creek is nothing short of a treasure in itself. Hidden throughout its gravels are rich hues of red, yellow, blue, green and even purple! Solid jaspers, dendritic and banded fortification agates as well as petrified and agatized wood cover the landscape. A piece of rockhound heaven in every direction.

Thank you for coming along this expedition and supporting me in my continued adventures. Rock on everyone!

  1. Wow! You always find the absolute best jaspers! So colorful! Amazing! And the petrified wood is so awesome! Everything is brighter and more colorful, when you find it! And that TSA was just stunning! And that blue? That looked like it had been worked, like by native americans! All the montana agatized wood, is sime of the best in the country! And that yellow jasoer, with rheavate cener is just stunning! And tube agate seem to polish ok, but that one had more tubes than ive ever seen! Wow! Id take it, just for a conversation starter! Ive never seen a jasper with a quartz pocket before! That was awesome! Just some if the best finds! โค Thanks Kim!
