Loving the look of this, the Scenario book being the playboard is a genius idea – I play RE3 but set up takes a while and you have to flick back to the book to check for special rules.
“Nicht öffnen!” indeed means “Do not open!” though you mispronounced it. (The umlaut actually has a function, namely to lengthen the vowel sound).
