‘Unbelievable’: Public servants sign open letter to cease military exports to Israel

Public servants have come under fire after signing an open letter calling for the federal government to cease military exports to Israel.

Liberal Senator Dave Sharma expressed outrage over the situation claiming public servants are supposed to be apolitical.

Several hundred public servants from across Australia signed the open letter calling for the federal government to ‘immediately cease all military exports to Israel’.

“This is not what a public servant is meant to do, public servants are meant to serve the elected government of the day,” Mr Sharma said.

“It’s unbelievable, it’s outrageous.”

  1. These public servants are true to human kind. They do not want to support genocide. If you do not like it volunteer your services in Gaza and find out why people take this stance against isreal. You gutless wimps.

  2. So enforce and apply the agreement they signed upon their employment…which was to serve the government in office…to serve the public…they and acting upon personal opinion and serving their own political agenda…they have no power, no authority here…it’s clear…sack them…this kind of publicity only gives them the public airing they seek!!!!! 😡

  4. Public servants are just that – servants of the public. They have no more political power than the rest of our citizens. Disgraceful assumption of importance. We expect them to do their jobs and keep their opinions to themselves, thanks

  5. The USA is covered in the blood and burned bodies of women, children, and babies murdered by US bombs. It just keeps on, and on, and on……. I am so ashamed. The US is no better than Russia with regard to war crimes.

  6. Sky News (which is always days late with its headlines) is apparently fine with the situation in Gaza. No one should be permitted an opinion alternative to the one they are paid to present. ANY criticism of Israel allowed? NO. Typical. No wonder everyone goes elsewhere for real and current news.
