ULTRAKILL WRATH UST | "Serenity In Spite of Thunder" // 5-3B

First of 2024!
These songs are taking more and more time to create…
Anyway, here’s another song for Wrath, it has been some time since the last one, hasn’t it?
Again with the unique themeing for each level, this time we venture into the depths of a seemingly dead island to find… a quaint town, hidden from the rest of the layer and the peering eyes of the Heavens above.
The Inspiration for this should be quite obvious from both the art and the usage of instruments…
Regardless, i hope you enjoy!

“-and it had already been Years since the establishment of our small, hidden town.
Prosperity like this has not been seen in our layer since the rule of Charon and his fleet.
The Stealth Technology we have salvaged from the Seabed Base created by the machines not so long ago has proved
generally useful in our continued existance, far from the eyes of Gabriel and his Heavenly parade.
We can now even expand landwards, further into this island, whilst the ship of the current ferryman continues to be our key distraction…
We hope that in our expeditions we shall be able to find Charon and free him from his chains at the Bottom of the Styx.
Our Ventures shall continue until the day we finally are able to re-establish the fleet and continue to work of Charon.
In the meantime, the-”

  1. Medusa
    Type: Lesser Demon

Data: With an immense influx of sinners in Wrath from humanity’s extinction, the Medusa were created by an unknown force for the purpose of thinning their numbers out and to provide further restraint to the,. They perform this task well with specialized, poisonous hell energy that sticks to whatever surfaces it impacts.

Although somewhat ungainly on land, these demons can slither at surprisingly fast speeds, and are almost entirely unmatched by all in the waters, being capable of dodging slow-moving attacks from prey.

Strategy: They will dodge whatever attacks you use and strike quickly while in the water, necessitating the use of ricoshots or large explosions. They are particularly vulnerable to shotguns however, so getting close might prove to be a benefit.

It is encouraged to be airborne while fighting these demons, for the floors will end up being covered in damaging poisons. This poison is also flammable, which can end up being a detriment to the Medusae.

Usually fighting as a pair, the Medusae become enraged when one of their own is killed. While no longer dodging attacks or using hell energy, they instead charge at opponents to rip them apart with their snake-like, stone claws.
