I was just at those cabins in March with snow on the road. There was a log across the road. You missed one cabin!!

In some toilets, Methane gas can catch fire or explode. I have seen several plastic porta-potties that burned to the ground after such a fire.

That "plumb bob" is actually a window sash counter-weight, very common in old fashioned windows. It's unlikely that primitive cabin had such a window installed, so they probably used it for something else. I used to have about 20 of tbose weights, left over from a house that burned down.

Actually, the way I heard it was dried mouse urine was the carrier of the virus.
Believe it or not that is a window weight not a plum bob. To make wooden windows easy to open by balancing the weight of the wood frame making it easy to raise.
Early 68' my mom was 7 going on 8. I wouldn't be born for another 12 yrs.
