The Americans and the getmans as well like to claim that for their tanks however as a German my self I sincerely believe the challenger 2 to be the best tank by far.

Just more biased propaganda! Challenger II is just another drone victim as Leopard II is, particularly when not fitted with cage armour on top … only the M1A1 is safe as it is kept from the frontline …
The real merits of the challenger 2 are the facts that the armour and ammunition vary from the rest of NATO tanks. Challenger 2s are built to take a beating, and the ammunition used is great for harming crews or enemies behind defensive positions without causing a ridiculous amount of damage to whatever is hit. The rounds are designed to partially penetrate, then blow up to filly penetrate and shatter inside to harm crew. The rifled barrel is also unique. The armour is designed to take a ridiculous battering, i don't believe there are any recorded cases of challenger crews in the middle east or Ukraine being killed. The tank can obviously be scrapped up, but the protection of human life within it is something its very capable of even in a state of disrepair.
I'd say calling it the best is stupid. I think its a mix of bias and uniqueness. Its a completely different style of tank when you consider it's made for anti personnel moreso than anti-armour. The enemy tank will likely be in repairable and usable conditions but the crew won't. Likewise, challenger crew don't have as much fear due to the resilience and durability of its armour. Completely different to other tanks provided by other nations.
Of course it is the best if you don´t have to pay for it. What has Ukraine done for the west? In only takes and takes and takes.

Western war technology is superior when its fighting against weak armies of middle east or militant groups with light weapons. It's a different story when they are fighting against a real army with professionally prepared defence lines and with lots of artilleries, mines, anti tank weapons, attack helicopters and well trained and equiped soldiers.

When someone praises a piece of junk like C2 as the 'best in the world' you know this is total propaganda trash aimed at boosting the defense contractors in the UK. That's all it is. Their share prices have more than DOUBLED since the Ukraine war.

The Ukrainians have withdrawn their Leopard 2 from the front after proving to be extremely vulnerable to anti tank mines. anti tank missile systems and Russia attack helicopters which can engage armour on the ground. Which makes a complete nonsense of this propaganda piece.
