Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy addresses joint meeting of Congress | full video

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said “Ukraine is alive and kicking” in his address to a joint meeting of Congress on Wednesday night. “It’s a great honor for me to be at the U.S. Congress and speak to you and all Americans. Against—against all odds and doom and gloom scenarios … Ukraine is alive and kicking,” Zelenskyy said, adding that the “Russian tyranny has lost control over us.” His speech to Congress comes as U.S. lawmakers work to pass a $1.7 trillion government spending package that includes $45 billion in assistance for Ukraine.

  1. THIS. Is what a REAL leader looks and sounds like. I have had the Ukrainian flag flying at my house for months. It will fly until Russia admits defeat. Peace to all who read this comment.

  2. This absolutely proves how corrupt the US is fueling war, giving tax payer dollars to a corrupt leader that caused this in the first place and now what s next on list oh yea that's NATO…

  3. You know, it wasn’t the corrupt POS of Ukraine,, that’s been stuffing money down his back pocket since day one,, it’s more of the seals across the room, belching and clapping aimlessly,, Rob Pelosi almost falls over on top of him,, with NO EXPLANATION of where one penny of the billions has been spent .. so we’re just gonna send more,, that’s the genius of President Biden… that’s great as long as Ukraine’s border is secure,, that’s all that matters,, G, I wonder why people hate politicians,,

  4. Our money should not be funding this supposed war. The only reason Congress is congratulating this is because Ukrainian aid is wrapped in a bill that is a financial windfall for all parties involved. $1,700,000,000,000.00.

    ONE POINT SEVEN TRILLION!!

Let's take a look at what that means in terms of time. If every dollar was equivalent to one second of time, then this happens:

    1 MILLION DOLLARS
    $1,000,000÷86,400=11.57 days.

    1 BILLION DOLLARS
    $1,000,000,000÷86,400=11,574 days, or 31.7 years.

    1 TRILLION DOLLARS
    $1,000,000,000,000÷86,400=11,574,074 days, or 31,709 years.

And, finally, for this $1.7 trillion bill, pushed when most Americans are preoccupied with Christmas:

    1.7 TRILLION DOLLARS
    $1,700,000,000,000÷86,400=19,675,925 days, or 53,906 years.

(Seconds are grouped into 86,400 seconds in a 24 hr day. Answers are approximate)

This should not be happening, at all.

  5. The flag shown in Congress is symbolic of a captive audience and thus our captive nation to a propaganda that diverts attention to our domestic problems of a failing economy, a growing homeless population & an unchecked immigration along our border. It is an invasion, not of our lands, but of our minds and soul to a distant threat far away from our national security.

  6. Cool beans. If the House and Senate love him so much how about they supply these billions of dollars from their own pockets? Then we’ll see how many of them want to continue this support.
