Ukraine’s feared 3rd Assault Brigade fought fierce battles in the besieged city of Avdiivka to help their comrades escape being encircled by Russia and destroyed. Video taken by the brigade shows vicious street-to-street fighting at close quarters with the Russians, with the aim of breaking through the Russian lines and helping their brothers-in-arms get to safety. Ukraine’s commanders gave the order to withdraw from Avdiivka last week, putting an end to seven years of defending the city and five months of intense fighting in which Russia lost at least 365 tanks, 700 other vehicles and 30,000 men in what is likely the bloodiest battle of the war to date.

  28. What’s weird, as of this moment this clams to have evacuated. But today they said no one evacuated. Foggy, propaganda. No one knows. Frontline guys say thousands of body’s dead everywhere. Mass losses both sides..
