  1. Those 25 mm guns on the Bradley, made short work of those BMP-1s in iraq. They were designed to kill them. They also seems the 25 mm can destroy the T-72, but the TOWs definitely will.

  2. Now that the weather has turned consistently below zero, it is possible to maneuver armor; however, the russians are committed to asaulting urban areas. Thus, the russians are loosing any advantage from mobility might provide.

  3. Russia started the war trying to take all of Ukraine. A pre war population of 44 million.
Then they tried for Kiev. Pre war population 2.3 million.
Then they tried for Khakiv a pre war population of 1.4 million.
Then they lost Kherson. A pre war population of 300k.
Then they tried for Bakhmut. A pre war population of 73k and failed.
Now they want to talk about Soledar. A pre war population of 10k.
Does anyone see the direction of travel that this going in.
Soon the Russians will be talking of the strategic importance of taking a bush in an empty field and if the do so it means Russia are winning the war.

Seriously they need to get real and understand what is happening here. They have lost already. Prolonging the war will only cost them more in lives, economy and reputation. Sometimes cutting your loses is the best thing to do.

  4. LOL, "The Ukrainians keep getting upgraded, there's an asymmetry there" – and Ukraine keeps getting its butt kicked, too. The U.S. will certainly give enough equipment and ammo to get as many Ukrainians killed as possible, there's no question about that.

  5. From what I've heard from the foreign legend fighters in Ukraine, there's a huge problem with equipment going missing via corruption. I hope Ukraine figures thst out. The fighters also talked about poor tactics employed by Ukrainian military. I hope they start listening to their western benefactors…

  6. Ukraine has confirmed yesterday-@ HIMARS strike on Havrylivka Druha. Said 100 Russians were taken to local hospital. No estimate on total killed, but local civilians have claimed up to 1000 on social posts.

  7. Soledar is not a "PR win" for Russia – it controls the supply lines to Bakhmut. OMG, this is so one-sided. Soledar goes and the front blows wide open. The "brave boys" hiding out in the salt mines can just await their "evacuation" to Siberia like the Mariupol "freedom fighters."

  8. "It could be this, it could be something else. We have to wait and see. It's unclear how it will develop."

Why do you think people are interested in this info? Talk about things you know, not what might be possible or not.

  9. Genuine tactical withdrawal/faint/trap https://youtu.be/cRb-vpxFqks
Was going to forward this yesterday but wanted to see if anyone else was reporting it, this YouTuber has a high tactical insight and appears to have close combat source material that appears on other sites a day or two later.
If they have large reserves of food and munitions in the mines a few small number of units could hold it for months popping up all over the area, blowing up entrances/ sectors remotely as required and escaping safely if required.
I think there is a strong chance the Russians are being drawn into advances on Ukraines terms, I sure they don’t want to give a single foot of ground but if they must they will exploit it to the detriment of the Russians. In the larger tactical scope if the temperature drops enough to allow large scale offensive I believe it is possible there would be a concerted push on Kreminna combined with a flanking counter offensive to Soledar enough to relieve the pressure on both Soledar and Bakhmut fixing Russian reserves, then a second front launching a long anticipated push towards Melitopol.
Just my subjective reasoning but think there is a strong possibility, time will tell.
Thanks for keeping up the good work.

  10. Have you heard the YouTube channel JMS
WW2 , who also does front line, war map updates? I think you would appreciate and agree with his analysis of Bakhmut.

  11. Taking land is not holding it.
They can occupy a village or town, but if they can't get through the outer defences, it's just more area they need to defend.
Allegedly, AFU sabotage groups are using the tunnels to come up behind the Russians to destroy ammo sites and mine areas the Russians assume safe.
We just need to wait to see what will happen.

  12. In terms of the asymmetry between the equipment that the two sides are getting, it is worth noting that supposedly Russia is bringing in their top-of-the-line stuff, while Ukraine is somewhat of a second-hand Rose, in getting older stuff – or equipment the West has in excess. Thinking of that way empathizes the contrast.

  14. Ucrainian army being upgraded? Few examples – instead of BPM 1 and 2, they are being upgraded with M113? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤣🤣🤣
Instead of few hundreds of S300 they are getting Mim HAWK? one, or maybe 2 PATRIOT? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣
IRIS T? Wooooowwww… Please compare it to BUK m1? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Bradley???!?? Ok, would very much like to hear what superiority it shows, compared to what analogue?!
So, tanks…. Greeaaat upgrade for Ucrainians, T55 and T72. And lets speculate – LEOPARD 2? Lets say they get 300 of LEOPARD 2.
    IS IT superior to T-90M?!
What is survivability of LEOPARD 2? IS it imune to KONKURS, KORNET or VIHOR? IS IT imune on 152 mm artilery round?
    P. S. You giving BMP 1 as a example that Russians army is being downgraded… You seem to mis all deliveries of new weapons to the Russian army in Ucraine…. BMP 1 M, BMP 3, BTR 82, T-90M ( more than 120 delivered in decembre)…..
    Enjoy your paralell universe 😁

  16. I dont agree bakhmut is "not that important" if russia is taking soledar bakhmut will most certainly fall, after that the biggest city i can find hard for the russians is kramatorsk. If ukraine does not counter attack this is bad news. Great work love ur channel and ur "not so only sided view" u tell the true and thanks for that. Im allways here i still believe in ukraine to win but im not as optimistic as other guys are. I think west just realized now that ukraine could/can win lets see if its not too late to send the weapons now…..

  17. Just more old crap for the Russians to destroy. Plus Russia are deploying another 1million 500 thousand troops. Anyone who really thinks Russia can lose this war has got to be living in cloud cuckoo land. And Nato consists of what acouple of perthetic European countries. Have you seen the size of Russia and China without The Arab countries that support Russia. By the time this war is over Nato will not exist the countries will go on their own watch! Belarus and Transnistria they will be getting stuck in soon aswell!

  19. Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Defense Secretary Robert Gates have admitted that Ukraine’s economy and military are almost completely reliant on bailouts from the West, and barring a dramatic turnaround, its chances of victory are slipping away.

Ukraine’s “economy is in a shambles,” the ex-diplomat and former Pentagon chief wrote in the Washington Post on Saturday.

  20. With the frontline relatively static since autumn, Russian forces have ground down their Ukrainian opponents in fierce fighting near Bakhmut/Artyomovsk, with an American mercenary commander recently acknowledging that Ukraine is suffering “extraordinarily high casualties” in that sector, and Ukraine’s ambassador to Canada, Vadim Pristaiko, describing his side’s casualties as “huge” and “indigestible.”

Kiev has publicly proclaimed that it plans a major offensive in the spring, but Rice and Gates wrote that Ukraine may have “weeks, not months” to stay in the fight.

  21. You should be more positive about Soledar maybe holding: According to ISW : Russian forces made marginal confirmed advances in Soledar, but Ukrainian forces maintain control of the settlement as of January 7. Geolocated footage shows a Wagner Group fighter at the Artyomsol Plant in central Soledar.[26] Russian milbloggers also broadly claimed that Wagner Group forces are fighting around Soledar on the streets in Pidhorodne, Krasna Hora, Krasnopillia, Blahodatne, Razdolivka, and Vesele and that Wagner Group fighters have taken complete control of Pidhorodne.[27] ISW has not observed visual confirmation to corroborate these extensive claims, beyond footage of the aftermath of urban combat and fighting in residential buildings in Soledar over the course of January 6 and 7.[28] A Ukrainian military correspondent posted a geolocated picture of himself in front of the Soledar Salt Mine in northwestern Soledar, indicating that Ukrainian troops hold the northwestern part of the settlement and repelled reported Russian attacks on this part of the mine.[29] Spokesperson for the Ukrainian Eastern Group of Forces, Serhiy Cherevaty, denied Russian claims that Ukrainian troops are withdrawing from Soledar, and the Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops continue to repel Russian attacks on the settlement.[30]
