Ukraine War: UK pledges hundreds of new attack drones to Ukraine

The Prime Minister said the UK would provide Ukraine with new attack drones and air defence missiles as he hosted President Zelenskyy at his country residence at Chequers.

Mr Zelenskyy said he wanted Britain to join a β€œfighter jet coalition”.

He is seeking F-16 aircraft to defend his country against Russia, which the UK does not have.

  1. Brilliant plan England struggle to keep the NHS going and the British government running Britain to the ground but can find money for Ukraine

  2. Why is a UK Prime Minister giving the oxygen of publicity to a warmonger and war criminal — Zelensky? Excuse me! Do we have a treaty of alliance with the Ukraine? Who gave Sunak the authority to wage war against Russia in the Ukraine? The UK is effectively at war with Russia in the Ukraine. The war is escalating extremely rapidly. And the Russians are more interested in targeting the UK than the wastelands of the Ukraine. Sunak is pushing the Russians closer and closer to a nuclear response against the UK. He doesn't care. He can jet off to another country if things deteriorate, or hide in a nuclear bunker. But there is absolutely no provision for UK civilians. None at all.

  3. This is BS. They are trying to romanticise innocent civilians being dragged onto a war, and if killed- they’ll just chalk it up as collateral damage. Zelensky isn’t a war hero- he would have been had he remained neutral and not allowed the US to use Ukraine as a pawn in their BS with Russia.

  4. Nice to know the UK is being left defenceless.

Maybe Putin should just turn his attention to us……All the worlds military hardware is in Ukraine, so he could pretty much just walk right into the UK, with the half of the Middle East……All he’d need is a fleet of rubber boats and he’d be good to go.

  7. Britain is the second biggest spender on the Ukraine but is only at number fourteen on income per capita. British people are gradually becoming the poor folk of the advanced nations. Spending on the Ukraine should be severely cut, there are higher priorities for tax payers such as lowering food prices and increasing expenditure on the NHS.

  8. What UK is doing for Ukraine, is normal thing to do, though Moscow is condemn it.

Is the same thing, other countries are doing for Russia too. Why shouldn't the UK do for Ukraine? That's 50/50.

Russia could do the same for any other country in relation with his country if at war and in the same situation as Ukraine.

The fact is this, Russia is the very one prolonging this war, not Ukraine Allies.
This support from UK could not happen if Russia could withdraw the soldiers from the Ukraine territory.

Though the supports of military equipments could b given to Ukraine by its allies in its peace time, it couldn't be directly meant for Russia but all Ukraine enemies in general.

Russia shouldn't blame UK for this.
