Accounts are emerging of brutality and murders carried out by Russian troops in areas newly liberated by Ukrainian forces.
In the Ukrainian city of Balakliya, which was liberated on 8 September after being occupied for more than six months, Russians are said to have used the police station as a torture and interrogation centre.
Ukrainian police officers say as many as eight men were held in cells intended for two people.
They say locals were scared to even pass the station when the Russians were in charge, in case they were grabbed by Russian soldiers.

War is not terrible, soldiers will do their job, horrible thing came out when politicians drag civilians into war in any means, it will create loss of trust , instability, chaos and deaths of innocent civilians. There is a reason why soldiers are called soldiers, and civilians are called civilians. This is about like the U.S. invading Ontario (Ukraine is more populated but Ontario is much more advanced); U.S. wouldn't struggle like this and the war would've been over months ago. Putin with his ego/pride won't give up til he's removed from office, removed from this world or has won and I don't see them winning so it's untelling how long this will last but I pray not much longer. Putin is gonna keep sending his people to their deaths until they have none left, hopefully the good people of Russia rise up and say enough is enough and stop listening to the bullshit propaganda, but sadly most are buying into the governments' absurd rhetoric. You know Putin and his yes men never thought in a million years that they would be having this level of trouble against Ukraine and were certain that they would've had Ukraine fully occupied months ago. And those who keep their duty to their Lord are driven unto the Garden in troops till, when they reach it, and the gates thereof are opened, and the warders thereof say unto them: Peace be unto you! Ye are good, so enter ye (the Garden of delight), to dwell therein;

They say: Praise be to Allah, Who hath fulfilled His promise unto us and hath made us inherit the land, sojourning in the Garden where we will! So bounteous is the wage of workers.
