If they are able to negotiate with eachother in regards to prisoner swaps then there's no doubt that they could start to negotiate peace whilst each negotiating their own defence treaties and move on from there!
It's time they both need to stop putting the whole world at risk and sort out their differences as decent human beings rather than acting like some sort of mediaeval beasts slaughtering eachother and the whole time running the risk of nuclear accidents and nuclear annihilation of life on Earth!

Especially the countries flooding weapons and intelligence how about including some peace envoys with your next load of weapons and while your calling the shots via satellite etc how about picking up the phone to Russia and making an effort to sort this mess out or suggesting some video link talks or at least making some effort towards peace!
