Ukraine pushes for Taipan helicopters despite safety concerns

Ukraine Military helicopter pilot Oleg Prystupa has called on the Australian government to send Taipan helicopters despite safety concerns.

The Albanese government formally declined Ukraine’s request for the fleet, warning them the aircraft posed an ‘unacceptable levels of risk’ to defence personnel.

Mr Prystupa disputed the claims saying that Australia’s retired fleet of MRH-90 Taipans are safe.

“In my opinion Taipan is more safe than a Mil Mi-8 and a Mil Mi-24.” he said.

“It’s 100 per cent.”

  1. Ukraine seems to be the Country where other countries “support” all military equipment disappears and reappears on the black market. This Country is the Money and weapons laundering scheme that is about to get far worse.
