A senior official in Russian-annexed Crimea accused Ukraine on Sunday (July 31) of carrying out a drone attack ahead of planned celebrations to mark Navy Day, injuring five and forcing the cancellation of festivities.
The accusation comes hours before Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to oversee Navy Day celebrations in his hometown of St Petersburg and approve Russia’s naval doctrine as Moscow presses on with its military intervention in Ukraine.

Crimea has its own legislative body – parliament. The parliament wrote Crimea's RETURN to MOTHER RUSSIA into law.

Moreover, it was not Crimea's choice or decision to become part of Ukraine. It was assigned to Ukraine's territory in 1953 by Khrushchev for some administrative reason. It didn't make a difference as long as the Soviet Union was intact because the Soviet Republic of Ukraine was in the same country – the Soviet Union. Things change in 1990 and Crimeans found themselves abroad. Understandably they weren't happy and so they made a move.
