Ubisoft is one of the most prominent developers/publishers in the game space. They’ve brought us classic games such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry & Ghost Recon. Their recent releases of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Skull & Bones and Star Wars Outlaws aren’t selling well. This has led to their stocks plummeting. But the problem started long before that. Let’s explore how.

  1. Why you gotta make it about race, this is not a race issue as a black man even I let out a sigh when I saw yasuke as our protagonist because I could tell it was clear pandering. Unlike previous black protagonists in assassins creed games yasuke makes little sense as they knew for a fact that Japan the land of which the game is based in does not acknowledge his existence as a samurai but they went and did it anyway. Plus it just doesn't really make sense why push diversity when you game is based on Japan in the sengoku period there weren't exactly alot of races ethnicities running around in Japan other than Japanese people at that time. Yasuke feels forced unlike Adewale from black flags dlc who made sense because the game takes place in the carribean and aveline from AC liberation which takes place in 18th-century French Louisiana which did have integration of black people in France

  2. What gave you the idea that Japan likes yasuke you are cherry picking examples of random looser going to Japan and asking questions to random people, the games delayed state is largely due to the backlash recieved from Japanese people, Japan truly did not like this don't get it twisted

  3. You didn't really cover any of the success they had with the Tom Clancy games prior to AC. Before cod became the behemoth it is today those og ghost recon and rainbow six games were the go to tactical shooters. I remember really liking black arrow as a kid.

  4. I think you're focused on the wrong thing with the samurai, you said it yourself, he is just the "help" character, so why not JUST have the Shinobi women?? Because they have clearly shoehorned in the playable black character in a place it just isn't needed. If they had done the game where he was actually secretly a Samurai assassin and the sole main character then I would have been TOTALLY there for it. But this blatant agenda pushing is what people are sick of, cry racism all you want if that makes you feel better but that just isn't the reality for most fans.

Really? Watch Dogs 2 was bad REALLY bad, the first one was by far the best one.
In 2 you literally end up playing activist terrorists that was established in the first game to be, you guessed it, terrorists & that trend continues in the 3rd.
Nothing new other than propaganda for the woke masses.
In the first game you play a man who becomes batman, that is literally it.

  6. Good job downplaying and gaslighting the AC shadows situation. Guess it went over your head when they're consultant thomas lockley lied all about yasuke.
Oh and like you said they made yasuke the protagonist since we know so little about him but then why not just make a totally original japanese male protagonist instead. Smh.

  7. The funny part is that the AC Shadows situation has completely imploded Ubisoft's standing in Japan due to even more revelations that are significantly more serious, resulting in Japan turning their back against them.
