  1. After looking at Ubisoft, gotta give a shout out to embark with their game The Finals, the way they listen to their community and the fact that their season pass which only includes cosmetics can be totally obtained for free is a godsend in these times of micro transaction hell

    "You don't own games" – alright, I won't buy them
    "Monetized as much as possible, subcription-based to fund for continuous development" – alright, I won't play them
    "Pay2win, pay2progress mechanics, because nothing is practically free" – alright, I don't see the value
    "This game has limitless contents and hundreds of hours of playthrough" – alright, I don't have time for this
    "Free to play AAA games!" – see all above?
    It is a Panem's Capitol-level out of touchness, nickel and diming exploitable consumers, who are struggling to live in high inflation, debt-ridden environment.
    I didn't stop being a gamer, I didn't stop being Star Wars nerds, I didn't stop watching movies, the corporations simply stopped me. I won back my life and focus on what matters: one game, one movie franchise, and subscription to entertainment show that is a bit less scripted (like pro sports). The rest simply led me to winning back my time and money.

  6. The sad thing is that complaing about it or hating Ubisoft does nothing, cause people are gonna pay for it anyways.
    Pretty sure the last AC game made like a billion dollars even tho the game wasn't all that great.

  8. I'm glad someone with a large voice is trashing Ubisoft. I'm torn on if I'll buy this or wait because I really hate giving money to these people. This used to be one of my favorite games and they keep finding ways to give the middle finger to fans

  9. So many companies do super greedy, super shady anti-consumer BS. Nvidia has been gimping the VRAM on their overpriced cards. The 4060 SHOULD have been the 4050, it's a 107 die code with LESS CUDA cores than the 3060 that came with 12GB VRAM. But we keep buying. AAA companies are pushing the envelope with micro-transactions and season pass BS.

    WE HAVE TO STOP BUYING INTO IT!!! Everyone start working on their backlog of un-played games, and just straight up boycott all this greed. We don't want you to make 100 million dollar games all the time!! Greed everywhere has gotten to sinister, demonic levels ffs

  12. Unfortunately Ubisoft knows no matter what people will buy their product even EA is aware of it but they’re starting to actually care about what they put out. Warner Bros is starting to get up there since they legitimately want to do more live service games going forward and they again know there will be people that pay money to play their product.

  14. Hell, even in their marketing you can see that the standard version is a Late Access edition.

    Their subscription says "Day 1 with Ubisoft+" and includes the 3day early access. If it was early access and not the actual release, then why is it "Day 1" and not "Day -3" ? The "Day 1 patch" will probably also be available at the start of the early access launch. It's crazy how big publishers took Early Access, which was used by indies to gain extra funding to continue making their game, and turned it into some BS marketing scheme.

  17. I played up to Syndicate and I gotta say, Unity sucked the shit out of my ass. Syndicate is kind of boring. 1, the 2 Trilogy, and 4 Black Flag are the only AC games that were peak. I have a diehard since the start fan friend tell me that he refuses to acknowledge any game past Black Flag as a true AC game because they don't number them as a way to cope lol.

Every Ubisoft game for the last five years is generic, formulaic snoozefest you played ten years ago (usually with already aged-graphics), complete with either lame lore or egregious historical inaccuracies they have to be doing on purpose at this point, for the low, low price of another mortgage.

  26. The last good game Ubisoft made (for people that didn't like Black Flag) was Far Cry 3, afterwards it's just copies of Far Cry 3.

    Before Far Cry 3, there were Splinter Cell games, there was Rayman, there was variety in Ubisoft games. Now it's just all the same

  37. I dont even get why people are mad that Yasuke is a main character, he was a VERY real person who searved ODA MOTHERFUKING NOBUNAGA for about 15 Months before the whole Burning temple thing and afterward he simply faded into obscurity after getting some medical attention from some monks
