    – Star Wars Outlaws only selling 1 million units in a month is insane… a flop so big it got Ubisoft execs to delay Assassin's Creed Shadows. But hey, if it will slap Ubisoft execs awake to the realities of how their leadership and practices are negatively impacting the quality and sale sof their games then so be it.

  2. Still not buying it because of MTX. Season Pass and no EA, great. But that's not a lot when compared to MTX shop in the game. Ubisoft can go bankrupt for all I care and let someone less greedy buy their IPs and make the game that respect customers.

  3. When Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on Steam and people find out you're still forced to use Ubisoft Connect to play it, there's going to be a lot of refunds. "but they won't do that".
Installing Far Cry 3, which I own on Steam, not Ubisoft Connect, installs and forces you to sign into Ubisoft Connect.
So no, Ubisoft has learned nothing, they just think that the storm about Yasuke and their mischaracterization of him being a Samurai, when he was a retainer at best will blow over.
They're in for a major surprise next year.

  4. maybe the one legged tori is foreshadowing? After all, isnt assasins creed sci-fi? i dont play it, but isnt there some sort of ancient alien race with sophisticated future tech or something like that?

  5. There's a video over at a new channel, gamedesignperspective, where an ex-Ubisoft employee talks about how Ubisoft is messing up and how the term AAA is ruining the industry. I'm glad to see that it's the execs and not the devs who are messing Ubisoft up.

  6. They'll release it in february kek 🤣🤣
So along title, better ones, such as Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Monster Hunter Wild so if it doesn't work they'll say that it was because there where other big ones or, and that's more believable, they'll say that everyone it's racist because it's black history month(useless celebration but whatever)

  7. You know good and well they are not giving the first expansion for free. It's most likely going to be the 'pre-order bonus mission' that will be free for everyone. The mission that was nicked from the game originally to be extra content.

  8. The main problem with Ubisoft games is that they all feel the same with their open world formula. I remember last year some time hearing that Ubisoft's strategy for fixing their financial troubles was to cancel more experimental games and doubling down on Assassin's Creed. So yeah, they did this to themselves.

  9. Trying to get the company to cash out by selling to worse company's. Yes cause this will be great for gamers, and everyone saying its good. It's not. Ubisoft needed a slap in the face to start changing the stupid shit they've been doing. But selling would make any of those ips worse.

  10. There's also the fact that Assassin's Creed Shadows has inaccurate architecture, which in spite of being historical fiction, previous games usually got down to a T, while also making a figure set of the main protagonists that contain a One Legged Torii Gate…the Same kind thats a Memorial to the victims of Nagasaki's Atomic Bombing…..Yeah……

  11. My concern is how they're handling the main protagonist
Until now, the protagonist has never been a known historical figure in any way, instead they always MET the historical figures and influenced them.
The change in this formula could get weird, next thing we know we're playing as Ronald Reagan

  12. Ubi need to go bankruptcy as an example for the rest of the companies that keep doing the same kind of BS and still expecting that customers buy their half cooked games. As you says, the only thing that they fear (no is not the Doom Slayer) is the MONEY, lets keep talking with our wallet.
