The City of Memphis has publicly released video showing five Memphis police officers beating 29-year-old Tyre Nichols. He died three days later.
The beating prompted murder charges against the five officers and outrage at the latest instance of police brutality in the U.S.

Another George Floyd incident, but this time all 5 police officers were Black, beating up one of their kind. Not only was this beating brutal, graphic, and heinous…… this was MURDER!
What I am so tired of hearing is the word was. He was a good person, he was a father. The word was should not be to describe this man at this early stage in his life. His life should be present tense and not past. But one encounter with the police changes that from being present to "was", now describing his life as being past. To me he was just a kid with a long ways to go

They say he almost hit the police car driving. When they stop him he would not get out of car, they pull him out, they struggle He ran after taking him out of the car, they taz him he keeps running, he runs away they catch up to him, then this horrible beating takes place one police officer kicks him in head twice, another one punches him in head. They say he is high trying to get their gun. If they suspected he was high, they should have called for an ambulance, not gang up. This is so hard to watch. 🙏 for his family.
