  1. I appreciate you guys having me on the platform again, I also appreciate all the people who were genuinely interested in what I had to say.
You guys are our next leaders. Iโ€™m just trying to help build these bridges for my brothers & sisters. Love โค

  2. The interviewer, where you been, there has been protests all the way to Washington! But both yโ€™all missed it , because when they approached the car, they yanked ! Him out! From jump! He didnโ€™t have a chance! They jumped out on 20 on Tyre, & he wasnโ€™t high or drunk!
Bottom line, clearly this was not their first time & reportedly that group beat up another man the week before!

  3. Hell, they donโ€™t Need a light sentence! All of them, including the white cop should be thrown under the jail! Tyre didnโ€™t have a past! Dude , the chief said, from what they saw, they didnโ€™t have probable cause to stop him, because he wasnโ€™t driving erratically like they said.
If you gone talk about subject matter, do your homework, cuz both yaโ€™ll are ill informed, especially you, the interviewer, at the cop said, he did see the whole video & he has tuned out from it.

They admitted to being in there they both pleaded guilty together rapper Gunna pleaded guilty Young Thug has not pleaded guilty go figure.

  6. Now could you imagine if he had so called complied and just went ahead and put his hands behind his back and let them cuff him. Can you imagine how they would have beat him even worse than they did. I do feel it would have been so much worse of a beating. There was more involved than oh he just didn't comply that's BS. It just wound have ended up much worse. THEN HE SAYS HE UNDERSTANDS WHY HE RAN!! But at the same time he should have complied!! Boy please..

  7. Y'all are laughing, especially when he said he got a job to do. But it sad because in many situations when someone innocent gives up key information or snitch, the cop are happy of the circumstances, but that individual has to go back to that community with no police support or security and is threatened, terrorized, assaulted or killed, and that is commonly happening in the black community that no one is talking about.

  10. My brotha who works in enforcement said it, as soon as he saw that video of Tyree, it was a badged-gang-hit! and all those dudes (not Officers) where clowns, because you have to be clowns and criminals letting your crime get recorded in hopes you can justify the inhuman acts. But I appreciate the honest and realness of this Brotha/ Officer because I think many people forget these guys are human and most of them are decent people. But his honest in regards to the Cops that murdered Tyree gave me a view into the "not so" good ole boys club. Bad cops are out here, but there are more law abiding officers working the beat. Thanks Officer Bankston for giving me another honest prospective..

  11. There comes a time when words fail us, rational thought eludes us, and the effort to communicate overwhelms you to the point of almost no return. So, I sit here dumbfounded and utterly disgusted, without even the illusion of the comfort of words.
Policing for me was a calling. A deep rooted desire to protect and defend my people and community. will not lie, it's been something of a ride. Many have disappointed, and many have risen above their situations and circumstances to lean into their purpose, as I have mine. Many enriching, life long relationships being built along the way.
My heart breaks not only for the senseless loss of Tyre Nichols, for what it has done to this family and community. My heart breaks for the lost opportunity that this young man and father sought in Memphis to get his life turned around and on the right track. My spirit is broken, because those charged with protecting his right to do so, looked just like him, and did it all without any regard for his or their own humanity. For 9 minutes they beat this man, while he screamed in agony for his mother. This man who looked like them, could have been their brother, or cousin, but none of that mattered. So, once again, I am forced to search for words to help me understand this injustice and only one comes to mind Evil, and it proves the point that when our society and institutions allow evil to plant its seed and grow unchecked, it is no longer a racial issue, but an issue of a systemic nature.
I believe I was called by my God to do this work. I believe this love I have for the people of my community inoculates me against this evil and I pray that it continues to do so. I hope my words resonate with members of the Law Enforcement Community, so that we start demanding from ourselves and our leadership a Zero Evil Tolerance Policy. There's too much at stake, and we are out of road to kick the can down.

    ~L. Bankston Jr.

My facebook post as soon as I saw video. I do not support evil.

  12. Rather he complied or not excessive force is what caused his death, they are hiring the wrong people to be police officers, they need to change the hiring process and training

  13. Either they were using the police database to track Tyre Nichols or they were Kidnapping Black Men off the streets in Memphis Tennessee,
The whole Memphis Police Department is corrupt, from police chief to clerks…
FBI need to clean house .

  14. I think Tyre was complying, the cops were holding his hands in front of himself then cops started yelling orders to put his hands behind his back while holding Tyre's hands in front of himself. How can anyone be blamed for not following orders? Remember the case with the white cop who killed the poor young man in the hallway of a Motel. That cop walked on murdering the poor Man.
