Tyrant is the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the inner workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation. Bassam ‘Barry’ Al-Fayeed (Adam Rayner), the youngest son of a war-torn country’s controversial dictator, returns to his homeland after a self-imposed decades-long exile in America. Upon his return, Barry, accompanied by his wife, Molly, and his kids, Emma and Sammy, is immediately thrown back into the familial and national politics of his youth. With Barry’s father’s health in decline, everyone – his older brother Jamal, their mother Amira, their father’s top advisor Yussef, and even easygoing U.S. diplomat John Tucker – expect Barry to assume a more active role in both the family and the regime.

  12. Apart from the scenes with the older Brother as Leader, the Series is pretty Bad actually 😂

    dumb decisionmaking, outright stupid American family, with a Karen as Mother and Aunt and Daughter. The Rebels are mostly kinda funny but sometimes they ask the Real questions.

    The series could have asked and answered big questions about good/Bad right/wrong religion/state brother vs brother but delivered ONLY on side of Famir.

    Older Brother and Dictator. He got good Dialoge, character arc and some inner conflict.

    Everyone Else is just playing Telenovela.

    However…what about us?

    I am a subject of one country, the United States of America, and a citizen of none.

    I am most certainly not a citizen of The United States and neither are you.

    Do you or I have any say in the system that rules over us?

    We are worse off than the Abudyynians.

    At least they KNEW that they were under someone else's boot, we however get led by the nose to "root root root for the home team" be it Team Blue or Team Red.

    Never to any end but the satisfaction of vengeance against "the enemy" camp for whatever hot button issue idiotically keeps us occupied like a cat chasing a red laser dot.

    25% of American males are manacled by the regime at least once in their lives.

    Millions of people in these 50 states were born as the 4th or 5th generation of people who have enough money to guarantee that they will never have to do any work they do not desire.

    And hundreds of millions are born into paycheck to paycheck poverty.

    Our controling system (like Abudyyn's and like all other ruling systems throughout human history) grants social mobility to people born with certain traits and proclivities while damning the rest to life as 5th rate subjects.

    Of course as individuals it's wise to look on the bright side of things, but as members of humankind, living at the same time in the same world we need to confer with each other and to adopt a new social contract.

    One that comes from speaking to each other, truthfully, honestly and charitably.

    I believe we can and that the time is now.

  17. KEEP PUSHING THE FALL AND WINTER SCENTS!!!! I am tired of these idiots hyping up my fresh and clean fragrances to the point that they triple in price!!!! I live in Florida and like my fresh and clean scents that myself and the ladies love! You guys can go walk around with your smelling like a doughnut factory scents and leave our freshies alone so they come back to earth in price!!!
