It's very refreshing to hear someone say that there is room for differing interpretations. That is an extremely rare thing in religions overall and it's especially rare in Christianity.
I wonder sometimes if we give God a headache.
Amen. Sometimes religion presents a very small, limited God even while claiming the opposite. A very, very small God, kept upstairs and treated like a Pez dispenser.
Christ says follow me have faith in me but never said what church to go to only Said follow him 👑🙏🏼 🛐

I love what Rev Ed preaches and teaches, but it's simply not historic Christianity. It's a great religious outlook, though! God bless and Merry Christmas from a Jewish friend.
Teacher there is one and only one path to God and Jesus makes this very clear. He says he is the Way ( he lived it a perfect life) he is the truth ( no fault ever came about from his thoughts, his words and his behavior), He is the life ( if we believe and declare with our mouths that he is Lord and believe God raised him from the dead, we will be saved). Believing means trying to emulate Jesus in the way we live to the best of our ability. When we repent of our sins, God forgives , but we are to sin no more.
Jesus is not love without conditions. Jesus speaks more on hell than the kingdom because sin and hell are real; God hates sin.
I am wondering why you do not cite scripture in your teaching?
To anyone who hasn't seen Rev. Munther Isaac's Christmas sermon for this year – it's deeply moving, and made me think of everything Rev. Ed has been sharing here on Snyder's book. Well worth watching, and contemplating.
They preach hate and hypocrisy and wonder why the church is dying. 💔

40% of potential American voters…did NOT vote. MAGA supposedly won by 31%. So, in my view, the American people are getting what they want. Some lessons are hard to learn. In my life, I had to hit rock bottom before I woke up. Let's hope and pray that happens to my country.
I'm perfectly willing to allow views different then mine but there is a sticking point, and it should have been pointed out by the Rev. If it was I missed it, sorry. When the other view starts imposing itself on others it's not okay.Then it's time for resistance. Stiff resistance. Yes even obstruction with intent to squash it. It has shown by its actions it cannot be tolerated in a civil society. You don't put up with abuse bullying ever. Even church sponsored bullying and abuse. Push back. Do what it takes.

I felt a knot in my stomach when you talked about the church. I find the institutional church one of the most dangerous places on earth. It’s hostile to anyone that questions something aka authoritarian in nature. After decades of being in churches, we met and married at one. Apparently we privately nicely questioned something one time too many because the assistant of the pastor decided to rebuke us publicly. The pastor was in cognitive decline and would have never done that. I told the Lord that will never happen to me again because I will never listen to another message in person again. We’ve only heard one or two messages in almost 11 years in person. One was at a funeral, and the other was when a friend I knew wasn’t crazy invited us to hear her speak.
The thought of being a part of another congregation I sincerely find utterly horrifying. Looking what’s happening in the US where we live is why. Many that participated and n January 6 were people from these churches. Whether they went inside or not isn’t the main point. The fact they went there to wield their power in the name of Jesus signing worship songs, wearing Jesus Saves t-shirts and raising up the cross of Christ was enough to crush my heart into pieces.
I dare anyone to tell me I’m wrong for staying out of these churches. I will ask them to tell me where Jesus says that I must participate in anything that looks nothing like how Jesus Christ describes how his kingdom operates. I’m sure I’ll get no response.

Rev Ed. When I was in the military I had the opportunity to enter a Buddhist temple. I was in my 20s and not sure how to be respectful but not violate the first commandment. Now I’m much older but I respect other forms of worship but I completely reject a theocracy like Taliban. I don’t want that in America.
