Two sailors killed after Houthi missile attack on merchant ship

Two sailors have died and six more injured after a Houthi missile attack on a ship off southern Yemen, US officials have reported.

They are the first fatalities of commercial ship crew since the Houthis began launching strikes off the coast of Yemen last year.

The vessel True Confidence was struck on the same day as the Houthis attacked a US Navy destroyer with a drone.

The United Kingdom’s embassy in Yemen posted to X saying the deaths were a “sad but inevitable” consequence of reckless Houthi attacks.

Since the attacks began, more than 40 ships have been hit or hijacked.

  1. It is huthis moral and humanitarian responsibility to do any they can support the innocent children and women being massacred in Qaza. What is the moral point of discussing international trade while America and Israel continue blockading the aid into the dire humanitarian situation they created there
