Two Point Campus – A+ Management Game Is Best In Class

I’ve spent the last week managing a series of universities, doing my best to ensure the next generation of Chefs and… uh, Wizards are given the education they deserve. This mainly involves providing them with a lot of the same things I was given during my time at university, such as a single microwave that’s shared between a hundred other people, a student union bar that hasn’t been redecorated since 1996 and a big machine that can cook a burger the size of a van.

OK so maybe Two Point Campus, the latest management sim from Two Point Studios, doesn’t offer players the most realistic simulation of University life. It does, however, deliver an excellent management game that improves upon its predecessor Two Point Hospital in basically every way. I’ve had the pleasure of noodling around with it for about a week now, and I’m here to let you all know why Two Point Campus is an A+ game that’s top of the class.

  1. This was a very thorough review! The only thing I would have liked more is if you went into some of the negatives of Two Point Campus, even if they're minor? Other reviews state, the UI is still a bit cumbersome and doesn't give you much info. to help solve problems as maybe it should? Again, minor issues, but something worth noting in future reviews, perhaps? Two Point Campus looks like great fun, and it's good to hear it's not just a reskin of Two Point Hospital. Keep up the great reviews!

  2. I still wish, just as I wished it for Two Point Hospital, that there was a Z axis, so that you could have multiple floors to your buildings. Had hoped they might add it for Two Point Campus but doesnt seem to be the case, so everything still has to be on the ground floor with no option to build vertically.

  3. basically a reskin of a reskin of theme hospital. even the two point hospital, although having the advantage of almost 20 years of computing technology on it's side, wasn't able to simulate the amount of fun Theme Hospital had on it's own time. (1997) I'm not saying Two Point Hospital is a bad game. On the contrary, it's a great game but it has added nothing (and I mean absolutely nothing) to the original THEME HOSPITAL by means of creativity, ideas, mechanics… apart from what the technology brought such as good graphics and a smooth run. Still even the original music from Theme Hospital was playing in my head while I was playing Two Point Hospital. Those were the days man. And it's amazing how much praise this Two Point Hospital game received without crediting Bullfrog's Masterpiece "Theme Hospital". Give that GAME MORE CREDIT!!!!

  4. Like you I lived off Iceland food at university. My mum used to send me Iceland stamps to buy food there with. She did this because Iceland didn't sell alcohol or cigarettes. Ah mums! They used to sell a box with a piece of frozen chicken and a handful of chips for £1 so I lived off that and supernoodles. Never eaten so well. The memories…
