Please tell me the recipe 🩷
Buttermilk pie is hands-down, my favorite southern pie
Is this the same or similar to chess pie that my husband grew up with in Mississippi?
Custard pie basically?
I want to make that.
Where's the recipe?!
My grandmother made a dish when dad was growing up that no one has heard of and I can’t even find a recipe for it online.
They call it “egg pie” but it is NOT what you think.
Ingredients are milk, several boiled eggs, butter, pie crust and seasonings.
It’s basically boiled eggs sliced up in a sauce/gravy layered between pie crust. Depression era food. Can’t remember the exact recipe but I made it years ago and me and the kids liked it. Don’t serve with mustard greens and butter beans unless you are trying to “gas” your family in the middle of the night. 😂
Ive made buttermilk pie , it is sooooo good. I like to pair it with mincemeat at Christmas time.

l told the recepi
I wonder if the recipe came from an African American….just curious to know.
One of my favorites!
They gonna share the recipe? Would like to try this, honestly.
Owen Wilson voice. 🤣
Sooooooo milk tart
Also known as chess pie. It's delicious
It was my Dad's favorite. It is a custard 🍮 pie
Looks like a custard pie
you can hear the british accent temporarily leave
Buttermilk pie is my absolute favorite pie
Guys, buttermilk is NOT made of butter.
My grandma born and raised in Texas makes this for Thanksgiving every year and we cannot have a Thanksgiving dinner without it. Her recipe calls for 3 cups a sugar for just one pie 😅 best pie ever but I can only have one or two slices due to all the sugar 😂
Looks a lot like melktert
Very nice. It's interesting that Josh, once he's eaten the tip of his pie slice, immediately picks up the pie. Brits immediately go into "mince pie mode" and pick up pie and cake slices. Don't they have forks available for the full piece of dessert?
"Hey bros I made you a buttermilkpie ;)"
I wonder if it tastes like gooey butter cake?
Recipe?
Looks like Southerner pie… or cinnamon cream pie
I’ve actually never had that but heard of it. Isn’t it a southern thing? I’m in Midwest
Its like a set custard.
I thought my family was the only one who made this lol
Here it is! I was hoping that this guy had made a buttermilk pie! It may be similar to the recipe I have! It looks about as custardy.
Why on Earth wouldn't you put the f**** recipe in the description
I’m going to start calling Buttermilk Pies “Primordial Cheesecake” now lol.
I’ve never even had it
Also called chess pie.
Try a lemon posset! My monkey grandma's recipe. Mix a cup of heavy whipping cream with a quarter cup of lemon juice, a teaspoon of vanilla extract and some cinnamon powder, a half cup sugar and a teaspoon of brown sugar, simmer it till its yellowish then let is rest in the fridge till it sets, the nelt some sugar and pour it on top or brulee it
"And the secret ingredient… Was asbestos!!"
Caveman Cheesecake
Anyone know if they’ve tried gooey butter cake/cookies?
I’ve been craving buttermilk pie for years. My great grandparents only died a few years back but we’d always have it at thanksgiving and Christmas so I’d snag a piece they made. They passed before they gave us a recipe so I can only find it from other families now, but I haven’t had it since. It’s extremely hard to come by even though I live in the south.
Jolly just love every food but British
Looks like milk tart. Which is a very common South African dessert
I mean it's a custard tart basically… pretty normal in the UK?
is this similar to our south african Milk Tart or melktert
My grandmother called this “Washday Pie”. She had 11 children and this was an easy recipe.
egg pie
Never had this one. Have to try that one.
A milk tart?
