“Two Americans who travelled to Mexico for a tummy tuck operation have been found dead after being abducted by cartel gang members, in what officials believe was a case of mistaken identity.

Two others have been found alive, although one is fighting for their life in hospital, officials said.

The group of four people had crossed the border from Texas in a white minivan on Friday and had just reached Matamoros, in the north east of Mexico, when they came under fire.

Photographs show the partially wrecked car, with North Carolina number plates and a shattered passenger-side window, crashed into at least one other car outside a shop in the city.”

  2. This is sad, but cartels don't discriminate when it comes to $$$. . These ppl were black, maybe flashing $$$, flossing, giving attitude. Cartels don't give a F#$k who you are , where your from or who you know. Different country, different rules. . . No one goes to Matamoros for surgery, more to the story than this.

If America really wants to ARREST those who Distribute not sell Drugs START ARRESTING those who sell Drugs in Philadelphia Streets and then they will take you to their BOSSES who are the REAL DRUG DEALERS. PERIOD. ❌❌❌

  4. Please do some more research and update your news about this. These people were not victims they are career criminals that have priors of drug dealing and trafficking don't make this a republican political statement. Don't turn into those news organizations that whitewash everything

  5. They aren't tourest why you don't show their drugs dealers and robbery back ground means that they when to buy drugs instead of being the cosmetic surgery you must be stupid to believe to those criminal drugs dealers

  6. I live in Mexico, around the Tijuana area. I feel safe here, even with the cartel presence. For the most part, if you are not in that scene, you are safe. But, as life teaches everyone, sh@t happens. That's everywhere in the world. My condolences to the victims and their families.

  7. Seventy to a hundred thousand fentanyl deaths from Mexican and Chinese drug dealers is shocking, heartbreaking, and terrible. Sadly, that number of fentanyl deaths is about the same as the number of extra Covid deaths per MONTH as a result of trump's incompetence as president.

  8. He's saying we don't have open borders. When people can just walk into the country by the thousands the borders are open. We have fentanyl drug dealers because it's coming from other countries. If not we would not have drug dealers. HE HAS NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WHAT HE SAYS. The cartels don't only deal with drugs they do a lot more. This guy is confused.

  9. Attention right wing coward chicken hawks of the US congress: Mexicans may have to intervene militarily in the USA to put an end to your out of control weapons and weapons of mass destruction trafficking around the world. Stop trafficking the weapons that kill countless millions of people around the world or Mexico will do it for you, with the support of many nations that you have terrorized for centuries, of course. You cowards are the most criminal terrorist organization in history. So shut you mouths and get your shit together! You pigs. Sincerely : – )

  11. What they aren't saying is that these people were dealing, and something went wrong. The address of the so-called clinic is the address of a random house, and these people have criminal history in their back

  12. Intensifying the War on Drugs will only intensify the v*olence of the cartels.

Cenk makes a great point that it is as insane for the US to threated to invade Mexico over the War on Drugs issue as it would be for Canada to invade the US.

Interesting rhetorical question that Cenk brings up about which is worse, m*ss sh*8tings in the US or the drug cartels in Mexico. I would say that both are feed by the same issues. The War on Drugs benefits the 1% and politicians but no one else. What feeds the cartels' ability to wage war is the ease of access of g*ns first initially sold legally in the US. I don't know the stats on this, but this could also be impacting the number of g8ns that are supposed to be circulating in the US. However, how to get records on something that is designed to not have records is something else. This isn't to say that those that own g*ns in the US don't tend to own a lot of g*ns but more exploration of the exact numbers of people who own g*ns in the US if it weren't functionally impossible because of how polarized this issue is. What we do know is that over 90% of g*ns retrieved from Mexican cartel crime scenes were first legally sold in the US. Thus, one reason that g*n manufacturers don't want tougher g*n laws is that it would limit the profits they make from cartels. This has massive implications. There has also been some investigative journalism and also academic study on this issue of the profits and that US gun manufacturers make on what ends up being sales to Mexican cartels. The US government has to know this, and then there is even the law case where Mexico is attempting to sue g&n manufactures for this. It has been thrown out of court so far, but is out on appeal.

If the US cared and wanted to make the cartels less successful at their v*olence , the US could make stricter g*n laws. The public would also cooperate if they understood the tie to drug cartels, but the US government chooses not to inform the public of this, which of course points to bribery and corruption. Also, don't think that AMLO is some great champion of the Left either. The data indicates that he is owned by the Sinaloa cartels and is actively trying to overthrow free elections in Mexico (which are already deeply troubled. Research the d*ath toll from the last election and AMLO's reaction to it. I believe it was 17 people who were either local politicians or the equivalent of US election judges that were k*lled that day, and one d*capitated head was thrown into a polling place while voting was taking place, again, if I remember correctly.) Of course, neither the US or Mexico is safe for travel. Both are run by crime syndicates. Both have corrupt p*lice. However, the p*lice in the US are probably more likely to k*ll a random civilian than are the p*lice of Mexico. This knowledge might have made the travelers think that Mexico was safer than it was, just in comparison to how bad the US is for people of color.

  13. They did it because they were Black Americans. The cartels are ordered to leave Americans alone. However, most of the world knows that Americans don’t give two s**ts about its Black citizens so they thought that they can get away with it.
Just imagine if those who were kidnapped were were white Americans.

  14. Mass shootings or living with the cartels? I’m Mexican , trust me , there’s no comparison. Living here is non stop 24/7 worrying about being kidnapped or murdered. We’re so desperate , we’re agreeing with Republicans . Either get occupied Irak style or get killed by these cartels. I blame the NRA for this whole mess

  15. Mexicans get smuggled in this country everyday. Trump said build a wall to decrease crime, human trafficking, illegal drugs etc… the Dems said he was racist, told the illegal immigrants to come in anyway, gives them benefits and wants them to vote democrat. Calls people racist for saying unaccounted people are a national security issue. So now, it's dangerous for us to go there but the people who make it dangerous, some of them come here too. FYI, I've seen people smuggled into my city myself. We all know people who do it for extra money. It's NO secret. Dems know that. They be in dem cities where I'm at.

  16. I highly doubt they were just tourists. they ALL had drug-related criminal records, including her partner who IS in jail for meth trafficking. Her family said that she went for a tummy tuck but they can't find the clinic where she supposedly had the appointment. I don't justify what happened to them but it wasn't an isolated case, they weren't completely innocent, they didn't even want to press charges in Mexico for what happened to them, this looks like drug trafficking gone wrong 😕

  17. I totally have mix feelings about this. I believe the tummy tuck was the excuse to go to Mexico a do a drug deal. I don’t say this because they are black is because it does happen. Cartels don’t just fuck with Americans for the fun of it. I am not saying that these people deserved what happened. I blame the income inequality that forces people to look for other means to make buck. I believe that an attack on any American anywhere including inside America should be dealt with severe consequences. With that been said this war on drugs is just another form of United States oppressing the Americas like it has been doing since the creation of the country. Those of you that know American history should have figured this out by now.
