TWiV reviews heterosexual transmission of clade I Mpox virus, continued circulation of oropouche virus in South America, herpesviruses in South American fur seals and sea lions, sex-specific differences in physiological responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection, underdetected dispersal and extensive local transmission drove the 2022 mpox epidemic, and a humanized mouse model for adenovirus-associated virus gene therapy.

– Who Am I? –
I’m Vincent Racaniello, Earth’s Virology Professor, and I believe that education should be free.
I’m also a professor of virology at Columbia University in New York. I’ve been doing research on viruses since 1976, and teaching virology in classrooms and online since 1999. On this YouTube channel I share videos of my lectures, podcasts, and more.
New videos are uploaded several times each week.

I used amino acids and nucleotides as two different phylogenetic evolution hypothesis methods for a Teeny-tiny DNA virus
2ɓ or not 2b,? Once more that is t he question
"teratoma" is a good word, from a good family, "terat-" from τέρατα, plural of τέρας a marvel, prodigy, monster. See teratogenic, teratoid, etc.
Sexually transmitted monkey pox, great, what a big gain for humanity. The question is, why now? Have we just been witnessing viral evolutions or the consequences from an experiment? 🤔
What happened to introducing the hosts in the order in which they joined TWiV?
Well, now people have to keep proper sexual behavior just in case they are infected with something without symptoms. Here is the cure to promiscuity, we are doing great! The world is going to be better, we are fixing it! 😷
Don't forget Sneaky Snakes Cockroaches Parasites
Hey Guys! Watch you all so much I feel like you are "old friends!" Just got tickled with your title…all of them are great! Remember the days when Revlon had a think tank to name their lipsticks? 😊 They had nothing on you guys!
I guess that's what you get for eradicating chicken pox, you get another pox
I did not know that blue bonnets were the flower of Texas, among a lot of other things. Love the podcasts. Mahalo.
Did i hear this title in a previous episode @Microbe tv ??
@Dickson Despommier Thank you for Frank and the whale. Amazing!! Found it on your Nature PBS . ❤
Privileged Speaking! How much is it worth to see? More than some people could ever afford.
Shout out to Alan about the m-pox spread being slowed by the msm population being responsible people. Exactly what many people need to hear!
@vincent see you in Brisbane for influenza viruses!
About whale fins slapping the water. Salmon do this when they are becoming infested with microscopic skin parasites, they jump out of the water and smack back down against the surface. This response is triggered within minutes of adding parasites to an experimental tank.
What's interesting is that salmon scales are not innervated. So how do salmon get an itch response, when they have no nerve endings in their scales? I suspect it's an immune response. They have plenty of immune cells on their scales, despite the lack of nerves. Maybe you guys could do an immunology or parasitology episode about this? 😃

Fitness Webcast: Idea, address some fitness/nutrient myths
To do so, add a (for human) nutritionist.
Genetic Information is the TimeStamps embedded in the Atoms. Life gets its energy from the time differences of the biological elements in our body.
If you think about it you will realize that the Time parameter/value in every biological processes. All the gene on / off expressions are regulated by the flow of Time embedded in the Atoms which compose the Molecules and Genes of DNA/RNA.
That is why every living being has a natural lifeTime written in their Genes, and all livings will denature, rot and decompose based on the Time encoded / embedded in their Genes. That is why bacteria changes/mutates by updating/replacing its atoms and become resistant to OLD antibiotic molecules. Also that is how and what we call Evolution and Adoption [to Time].
i thought it was my cat LOL
I'm grateful to have come across you (@doctorodia1) YouTube, I'm now free after I used the medicine you sent me, having Genital Herpes almost ruined my life but I'm happy today after I used your treatment.
